The staff was wonderful and the concept was cool. However, the Private rooms were also dormitories and there was no sound isolation so you could hear everything. Ping pong on site was great

It is a dorm adapted to be a hotel. Clean, cheap and has very good location. I value great and helpful service. There's a lot of travellers from around the world.

Not recommended. Not even for free.
This 'hostel' is a students dormitory converted to a hostel during the summer vacation. As such, the conditions and facilities are not ones suitable for hosting. When i arrived the hostel it was a hot day. Since there are no air condition in the room it was barley impossible to sleep. Add to that the dozens of mosquitoes and other insects in the room and your nice vacation turn into a nightmare. The amazingly horrible mattress i was supposed to sleep on not helped as well. Good thing i planned camping and brought a camping mat i slept on. Yes, the price are good, showers and toilet are nice and stuff tries hard (well, apart from the girl whom i came to complain and the only thing she managed to say is: "this is how it is"), but seriously, you don't want to stay in that place.

The only problem is the address put on hotel.com, not easy to find, especially when the guest carry a have big trolley case. Need to revise the address info and put more sign near the hostel.

A Good, Inexpensive Place to Stay
Hostel DIC is a university dorm, which is converted to a hostel in the summer months when students are away. It is an all-win convenience. The dorms are not fancy, and the clean bathrooms are shared. DIC is not fancy, yet quite functional, and it is considerably cheaper than hotels in the city. The biggest drawback is that it is a little hard to find, and it is maybe 15 minutes walking to the bus/train station and over 10 minutes to the center of the Old City.

Pleasant stay with excellent breakfast. Staff is very friendly. Overall, I enjoyed staying here. Again, beware, this is a hostel, so you don't get amenities expected of a hotel.

It was not the house of horrors that we feared it would be. They seem to try to keep the pub crawlers in a different area than the quiet people.

Cheap and nice, great breakfast!
We were one couple and two friends staying for two nights. As a couple, having two separate beds were not ideal but we can not complain for this price. Room was clean, showers were perfectly fine, with separate rooms for the showers, and the included breakfast was close to hotel standard. Slight noise at night, as the rooms are not very sound proofed, but the hostel rules say no noise after 9pm so it was still okay. We are very satisfied with the stay and would

Bland but I'd stay again
Frustrating to find as its located in a quiet lane a few hundred meters back from its advertised address. For a city hostel, it has limited staffing for check in so be aware of office hours before you arrive. The room was clean and bright with particularly comfortable bed. No ensuite in room though, not even a basin or mirror. Communal bathrooms were of varying standards depending on the floor. Apart from value for money, the highlight for me is the city the hostel is in. Less than 10 mins walk to the historic waterfront area of Ljubljana. City centre is attractive and lively. I'd stay there again.

on student campus with shared bathroom and toilets. Had no problems in getting access. within walking distance of all main attractions. although offered breakfast, did not take up the offer.

Nice hostel, close to city centre
The hostel is close to city centre, especially by bike (there is a Ljubljana bicikelj very close to the hostel). The wifi was a bit spotty. They have a nice breakfast (buffet-style) that's very affordable.

Good location hostel
This hostel is a student dormitory converts to hostel during summer, so the facility is pretty basic. The bath room needed some renovation as there were 3 showers and 2 didn't have shelves to put your toiletries on. The one that did didn't have a shower head. The kitchen also needed some updating as there were hardly any plates, bowls or cooking utensils (there were about 3 pots and they were badly burnt that are not usable anymore). Plus stuff keep going missing from the kitchen, first the dishwashing liquid, then the few plates and bowls that were there (not sure whether guests borrowed them to their room, or they were removed by the hostel)

Dorm of college campus. Older building. It was really hot while we were there and there's no AC or fan. Room is just a bunk with little else. Staff was friendly. Good location

Overall good! Clean, well located, we had a problem to find it because google maps took me to a place 03 blocks away but nothing that bad. Its located between college dormitories so it was a little bit noisy. In general it was good the staff very nice.

Close to the old town
The hostel was very clean and close to everything. One thing I didn't like was the bathrooms. It's fine that they're shared, but I wish the shower doors were solid and not just frosted.
