Very good

Just a one night stay to visit Mt Snowdon, well pleased
with the hotel. This is obviously a Coaching Hotel catering for large groups. We were not part of any group, just an individual booking and were treated with a seperate dining room that served up excellent food, brilliant. The young lady on reception was very courteous and allowed us to leave our car in the car park while we visited Mt Snowdon. All round excellence.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Stayed for one night. Hotel is very convenient for llanberis and Snowdon and area. Single room was tiny though and a bit tired. Bedside loghr flashed and the bathroom fan screeched like a harpi for 5 minutes every time it was fored up with the bathroom light. Pretty much zero sound insulation so you can hear every detail of the conversations of people walking past the room. However it was clean and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Wonderful Welsh 'Croeso' from breakfast staff and good choice to start the day. Great location, room clean bed comfortable. Would stay here again. Diolch.
Beautiful building food was lovely.
Only suggestion is to sound proof the rooms near restaurant as it was a bit noisy whilst it was open.

Disliked: Staff & service, room comfort
Too busy to relax
Hotel was extremely busy 7/9/24, room 110 was hot and stuffy, window opened onto rear courtyard, which was noisy with people talking right under the window at midnight. Restaurant was fully booked ate in the bar which was like Waterloo at rush hour. Very disappointed.
Excellent location for exploring Llanberis and nearby area. Close to start of walk up Snowdon, the steam trains, the Ceunant Mawr waterfall, Dolbadarn Castle, Padarn Country Park and the Slate museum. Good breakfast choices and the meals in the bar were all excellent but pricey. Hotel bit dated and bit of a maze finding room/lifts/stairs. Large, clean, quiet room with nice view of surrounding mountains. Very comfortable bed. Creaky floorboards! Bathroom a bit small but decent shower.
The hotel reflected a faded glory of the past and this gave it character. It had obviously been a wonderful place some seventy years ago, but in comparison to international hotels of today it certainly shows its age.
It has enjoyed numerous additions to increase capacity and evidence of this is seen in the difficulty of accessing higher floors, slight differences oin floor levels and the tortuous route to access the breakfast room which incidentally is grand when you eventually find it. Perhaps this is its charm, but I would have preferred a smaller establishment with a more intimate feel. I won't use it again, but it was a nice experience as a one off.
Stayed second time at Royal Victoria. Very friendly staff. Very good breakfast varieties. Booked evening meal which was good.
Recommend this place to stay in Llanberis
We had a wonderful stay at the Royal Victoria Hotel..
I would personally like to thank Andrew, as I believe he was responsible for upgrading our room…which was very kind of him..
Great location and fabulous views from our room.
