Not pet friendly

We booked through tesco clubcard, only booked as it was a pet friendly hotel, we turned up, and were turned away because we had a dog, so we had to find alternative accommodation, that was pet friendly.

Booked this hotel as had seen online that it had helpful staff and a nice hotel. Unfortunately as soon as we walked in it smelt musty, I had booked the hotel in advance and explained there was certain things we would need as my dad is critically ill and permanently in a wheelchair, on arrival we found parking was not great and even though there is a carpark they will not allocate a space for disabled people...we had bags a wheelchair and commode. On arrival unfortunately reception sent us to the wrong lift and ended up in an area with loads of stairs and had to come all the way down with my dad, wheelchair and bags, very stressful. The internal doors are really hard to get through. My mom and dad's room was fairly nice but ours was very dated with plaster even coming off the walls. On Tuesday the rest of my family arrived and asked if was ok for us to grab a tea before leaving after their journey, the lady was certainly not happy and said, she was alone so we felt like an inconvenience. We went elsewhere. The only good thing I can say is breakfast was lovely and the gentleman looking after the dining room was absolutely lovely and really helpful. This hotel needs a lot of work.

Perfect location right on the promenade. Staff very friendly and professional. Room was tired but clean but no complaints due to price paid for sea front room in August. Car parking was a problem but used the Just Park app for Asda less than a 10 minute walk away

The property is quite dated but they are trying hard to bring it all together.,staff all work hard,only booked breakfast but it was good and plentiful.We didn't go to the entertainment but heard it was good singer.

Not a great stay

This hotel is not air conditioned so room was hot and stuffy. The bathroom was incredibly small. On arrival there was nowhere out front to unpack the car so had to use the back entrance and carry bags up a flight of narrow stairs. No parking was available and we were told to park in the street so ended up having to park about 15 minutes walk away.

The marine hotel is a great place to stay, friendly helpful staff, lovely food, bar area is great to xx we love coming here. Only downside is the evening entertainment theres not enough we think the entertainment shud be 4 days a week not 3 which we think could make difference. So it shud be friday Saturday sunday and monday for the entertainment.

Basic facilities but hotel was clean

The only downside was the room was hot and no air conditioning. We were able to open a window to let fresh air in. Onsite parking is limited and would recommend you prebook if driving. Offsite parking is street parking. There were also stairs on some floors which could make it difficult for people with mobility difficulties. Staff were friendly and meals were good. Room was clean.

A really tired hotel. Carpets are threadbare, rooms need a good clean and a lick of paint, bathrooms were awful, no water pressure in the showers. No parking available. Staff very nice and helpful. Overall 4/10.

Nice seaside hotel

Nice hotel, a bit dated but that's in keeping with it's location. Room was nice & well equipped (tea tray, toiletries). Staff were friendly and, although we were out until after 9pm, we came back to a singer who was very good. Didn't have breakfast so cannot comment. For the price, I'd book again.
