Very good

Everything was ‘ok’, location was great, right next to the tube station. Breakfast wasn’t up to the usual Hilton standard though, definitely room for improvement there.
Property was really just mediocre at best especially considering the high price of rooms there. Pretty shabby condition overall with rooms needing an update and deep cleaning. The first night the remote on one tv didn’t work. It took a couple of hours before that was taken care of. Then the tv upstairs died. It took another few hours of wasted time and many visits from maintenance to get this handled. Overall was unimpressed with the room and the service in trying to get the tvs working. My wasted hours of frustration were glossed over by management by offering a free, and also mediocre, breakfast. You can find better places to stay near here for less money and with better service. Trust me, you’ll be happy you stayed elsewhere.
We had a lovely stay, the staff were very attentive and I could see they were all working incredibly hard to make the service efficient. The hotel was very busy during our stay and breakfast particularly was quite chaotic. There were a lot of chairs and tables squeezed into a small area and it was hard for the staff to keep on top of topping up the buffet, ensuring the coffee machines were not running out of coffee and that plates and cutlery etc were replenished. It was not surprising that at times the buffet was not fully replenished...the staff did an excellent job under the circumstances. We did also have a very noisy neighbour who returned on all three nights of our stay at 3am with a loud voice! On the night that we reported the noise to staff they responded without hesitation and the neighbour was quiet afterwards. I would say the walls were quite thin which meant noise travelled easily, but the staff were responsive to our needs. All staff were also incredibly friendly and cheerful, always welcoming us on arrival to the reception area. The hotel was very close to Gloucester Road underground which made it an excellent location for exploring London for 3 nights.
Great stay, friendly staff, clean hotel. Close to transportation and/or easy to get taxi or Uber. Many shops and food options nearby. Takes a bit in traffic to get to the action of London during busy times but if you’re looking to get to a nicer and quieter area it’s perfect.
I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. As a family of 4, we were upgraded to an apartment suite which was very well equipped with a Nespresso machine, full kitchen, tons of towels, and very comfortable beds. The lobby served snacks at check in and there is a kids play area in the lobby for kids to play in while you check in. The location was convenient and just steps from transportation, or walking distance to most main attractions. The staff was wonderful, very helpful, polite and we experienced excellent service. I will stay here again and would highly recommend it
It’s a nice area in London. Just few minutes away from underground.

Disliked: Staff & service
The rooms are being renovated so they do not match the pictures shown online. 1 of the 2 elevators was out of service which made for long wait times in the morning. Eventually gave up and carried all my luggage down 3 flights of stairs. No place to warm food. Staff was unfriendly and unwilling to warm food for my toddler who has many food allergies and was unable to eat to at the restaurant because of allergies. Called it a health violation but flight crews stayed at this hotel and were allocated a microwave. Overall nice location but wouldn't repeat my stay.
The hotel is located in south Kensington on Cromwell Road, almost across Goucester tube station. The hotel has very nice accomodations and the staff is very friendly. Only inconvenience was that our room was not ready by 3:00PM, we had to wait an additional hour due to "lack of staff". Also, the hotel has two elevators and one was broken for our whole stay (one week).
Amazing hotel stay. The staff as always with doubletree were very hospitable and friendly but on this occasion went above and beyond. We booked a family room and were placed in a large duplex. The stairs caused us great concern, due to our 12 month old being extremely mobile but not yet mastered stairs. The staff were attentive to our concerns and immediately fitted a retractable child gate that mitigated any risk of injury. We were over the moon as this gave us great peace of mind and had a very pleasant, enjoyable stay. Can’t recommend the brand and this particular hotel enough.
The hotel itself is extremely well located for families wishing to visit the natural history museum, the science museum or the Victoria and Albert which are only 10mins walk away. Hyde park is also a short walk. There’s plenty of family friendly restaurants around too (pizza express, Ask and Baba Ghanouj). The staff are happy for you to order food in too, making dining in your room easy too. They even bring the delivery up to your room.
Breakfast was offer a full range of cereals, pastries, continental (cheese and meats) in addition to cooked full english, with options for vegetarians too.
Finally, let’s not forget the complementary cookies !!
A great location for the Natural History Museum and across the road from Gloucester Road station, which made other areas very easily accessible. The room we had was good value for money.
