Over all, most staff were great especially cleaning staff, but on arrival had the rudest lady on front reception, who thought it was amusing to make me look like a fool. Didn’t bother contacting me to say room was ready when it was so waited 6 hours for nothing, and with a smirk added I’m in basement. Definitely wouldn’t have paid what I paid knowing all this before hand.

The breakfast buffet was excellent, however the layout of the hotel is beyond weird. The hotel bridges over a road so part of the hotel is on one side of the street and the other part is on the other side. You can to go up the elevator and then go through what feels like an endless rat maze to find your way to another elevator to go down or a stairway. I was seriously concerned that if there were a fire, no one would find their way out. We passed other confused guests a few times. Would have been helpful if the front desk had at least attempted to explain the layout so we had a general idea of where to find our room. Probably took about 5 minutes of walking around, up and down elevators and stairs to reach our room on the 1st floor, CRAZY....

Check in lady was being extremely slow and asking for information like we are applying for USA visa. Our room had constant noise of waterfalls which I think, happened when someone flushed or took shower next door or upstairs? No robes or slippers in the room. Breakfast was average, nothing special. There was one staff lady who helped us when we checked out so 10/10 for her.

Great location very near Victoria Station. Quiet, nice breakfast with many options, comfortable room. As with all hotels anymore, too many tiny lights, but that’s why I travel with a sleep mask. Also, poor pillow, but again, I find that a universal issue in hotels. All in all, would stay here again if ever back in London.

Bizarre layout when u r on level 1 having to go to level2 then walking a good 500 metres then down stairs to your floor… signage not great could be improved Breakfast is definitely for the masses!

L'établissement est très bien, le personnel est gentil et prévenant. La chambre était très propre et grande. Le petit déjeuner est très bien. Par contre, si nous avons besoin d'un parapluie, il faut le louer à travers un distributeur. Je trouve cela incompréhensible dans une ville comme Londres. En plus, le retour n'est pas pas facile. Même les préposés à la réception ne savent pas très bien comment cela fonctionne. Le problème est que le système peut débiter 40 £ si celui-ci n'est pas retourné adéquatement dans les 48 heures. je trouve cela inacceptable pour un hôtel comme les RIU dans une ville comme Londres. Il suffirait que cela fonctionne juste avec la carte de la chambre. Dommage...

£660 for a windowless room in the basement
Paid £660 windowless room, which I thought was very expensive, but I was booking at the last-minute and hotel options were limited. When I arrived, they directed me to a room in the basement. That is an extortionate price for a stuffy room in the basement with no ventilation. The hallways of the basement were poorly maintained and resembled a hospital corridor. I doubt a landlord would be allowed to lease a basement room with no windows - why is it acceptable for a 4-star hotel? I was aware the room had no window, but the hotel should have made it clear when booking that it was in the basement. I complained at the front desk and was moved to another (still windowless) room on the 4th floor. Reception was polite and helpful, but when tried to bring a friend to breakfast and the maitre d' was extremely snappy and rude and made me pay for my guest on the spot instead of charging it to my room. Again, for a 4-star hotel I would expect the staff to treat a lady in her 70s with courtesy and respect. I would NEVER stay here again.
