We spent one night at the apartment annex a few kilometers away from the actual hotel. I wasn’t aware the annex would be so far from the actual property and despite the charming location on a canal I was a little disappointed since we picked the hotel partly for the location close to Kings across station. The apartment was very spacious with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room with couch, TV and two beds in the living room. It comfortably slept our family of 5 which is hard to do in most hotels. The main bed was a little too soft for me, but that might be personal preference. When we arrived there was no toilet paper but after calling reception they told us where an extra roll was stored and even brought us over more rolls, free bottled water, and an electrical converter.

Fresh, clean & comfortable. Compact without feeling cramped. Staff were all welcoming, polite and helpful. Conveniently placed for all modes of public transport. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Small but clean and comfortable
We learned upon arrival that there are three "tiers" of accommodations at this location, all operated by the same corporate entity. The Jesmond Dene is the middle level. Although we only stayed one night, service was courteous and attentive and the room was well-maintained and had all the basics. The room itself is quite small (basically, just room enough for the bed and a shelving unit) and it's a walk-up (no lifts).

Large comfortable room in great location
My sister and her family had this room because they needed a room for 4. It was a large and comfortable room. The hotel is in an excellent area, across from Kings X station.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The apartment we’ve got was just by the canal a commute to main London attraction was easy. Apartment could have few more item: there was only 2 cups and nothing to cook food in the oven. But overall we appreciated our 3 days there (family of 5).

The property and the room was very nicely maintained and the staff friendly and supportive. To use the air conditioning an extra fee would have been required. Recommend, when you get one of the rooms under the roof in the summer.

A simple room atheistic - small by North American standards but very clean and well equipped. The staff were outstanding from check in to check out. So helpful and courteous. They even found wine glasses for us to toast my nieces new job!
