Think carefully before you stay here

I wanted something close to Paddington station and didn’t care about the quality but I understand I maybe should because this was not a great experience at all. It stunk from the shower and sink and there was some sort of mill in the sewage that started all the time during my stay. Worst of all: without any information they demanded a 100£ deposit. Very fishy

I booked a 5 night stay through expedia, it was based on location and the pictures they advertise. This specific trip it was my kid and myself. First: I book a double (pictures with notes). Now when I checked in the reception puts me in a basement room, with no ventilation (if you open the side tiny window, you will get the smoke from people outside and the room is non-smoking) and she emphatizes how amazing the tub is (mind you I dont even use the tub at home). I had to take 2 big bags down a tiny set of stairs and I almost fell twice. At no time was there a “do you need help”. When I finally make down there and I open the room, the room smelled muggy and stuffy, the bed was hardly a double, against a wall, hardly any space to put the bags. There are steps in and out of the bathroom that we didnt see, and I fell. The bathroom was a tub, that when you step in it, you cant lift your arms because they reach the ceiling. You need to shower close to the wall otherwise the water goes everywhere in the bathroom. The sink mirror is so low you need to squat to see your face. The walls had cracks everywhere. The heater is on a timer that you need to go to the office to have them turn on. The expose pipes where rusty and neglected, everything that was supposed to be white were dirty and nasty. They only give you 1 towel per person. The table was so small my kid didnt even fit there to eat because everything else they hotel puts there. Bait n switch practices. Stay away.

Great place for overnight stay

This is an absolute screamer if all you need is a bed. It's cheap in price, it is convenient in location, quiet neighbourhood, new and clean shower/toliet inside the room, comfortable bed, clean and new linnens. No elevators, so prepare to lift your luggage to the 4th floor, or ask in advance for lower room. Very friendly and helpful staff + 24/7 presence!

A clean comfy room, good for short stays

I stayed here for a quick solo visit to London. The room was clean, and the bed comfy. The bathroom was newly refurbished, but the shower wasn't great, the water pressure was poor, and there wasn't enough hot water. Was also a bit annoying that luggage storage past 1pm cost extra.

Close to Hyde Park and Paddington station. Very friendly staff. Generally satisfied with the stay, just a few things felt off. Room was small, shower was smaller and almost impossible to use even as a shorter/medium height person, tv did not work. Luggage storage is just a corner of the lobby, I understand there is cctv but that doesn’t prevent luggage from being stolen it just aids in the aftermath. Everytime we left we had to hand in our room key, I’m not sure if this is a common thing but I personally felt a bit uncomfortable with the key system. Over all it was fine, maybe best for a very quick stay

Clean and budget friendly

The hotel was charming, clean, safe and in perfect location. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Located a block from Paddington Station for easy access to all attractions. About 1/2 mile from Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s clean and the neighborhood is perfect which is what my daughter and I were looking for.

Receptionist was really nice but unfortunately that’s where the niceness ended. We got a room on top floor with big suitcases but no lift so had to haul them up. The rooms walls were dirty and it seems like it was a single room that had a double bed thrown in as we had no space to move around. We had to pay a £100 deposit for what reason iv no idea. We had to hand back the keys every time we left so didn’t feel our belongings were safe so kept passports on us at all times. We ordered a taxi from the hotel at 5am and it stunk of curry/asian food which was really overpowering and when we got to our destination the driver told us he only takes cash so I had to run around at 5.30am looking for a bank machine. Live and learn to read reviews better before booking.

Good price good position hotel

Staff were friendly and polite, room was good for solo traveller. Well placed for West End and a short bus trip to East End. Also near Tube stations. The room was a bit too warm and no way to turn radiator off. Mattress was a bit soft for me.
