I checked into this hotel expecting a great stay based on the location and the hotel’s name, but it turned out to be a complete nightmare. The front desk agent who checked me in was initially very kind and helpful. However, when I entered my first room, it was beyond filthy — dirty, unsanitary, and completely unacceptable. I immediately went back to the front desk, and they moved me to what they said was the very last room available.
Within seconds of entering the second room, I started itching. I looked at my arms and back and then around the room — and I saw bugs everywhere: on the bed, ceiling, floors, and curtains. I panicked and went straight back to the front desk and showed them the situation in person. They apologized but told me there was nothing they could do. No other rooms. No solution.
This was a late-night check-in, and due to an airport situation in San Diego (many flights being rerouted to Los Angeles), every hotel nearby was booked. I ended up leaving around midnight, crying and scrambling for hours to find another place to stay.
Before I left, the front desk agent, Angel, assured me I would not be charged and that all I needed to do was call the hotel in the morning to speak with the manager for a full refund due to the circumstances. This was completely false. I was charged for the entire stay. No one ever returned my calls, no manager followed up, and Angel never answered or assisted afterward.
This hotel is unsanitary, unprofessional, and dishonest.
