The hotel was great, with one exception (read below). Nice rooms, good value, great easy breakfast, amazing pool, friendly housekeepers and “most” front desk staff. Upon arrival, we encountered TERRIBLE customer service from a front desk employee named Emily. We arrived a bit early before check it (check in is at 3pm and we arrived at 1:15pm), the girl at the front desk was so disrespectful and rude. When we walked in, she was sitting at the table behind the front desk and didn’t even greet us. After ignoring us for 2-3 minutes, she says “can I help you” in a rude fashion. I explained we are a bit early and wondering if our room might be ready. I even stated that it is ok if the room is not ready, I just wanted to ask as I had a tired child who really needed to rest after our flight. The girl, Emily, says, “you have to wait, I’m on my break now and I can’t help you”. So we waited in the car and came back after 30 mins. She was still sitting at the table and completely ignored us. After 10 more minutes of waiting, she finally went to the front desk, so I approached the desk thinking she would acknowledge my presence, but NO, she sat there on the computer and was casually speaking in Spanish with a housekeeper and giggling in front of me. Then finally said, “ok I can help you now”. After this encounter, everything was great. I feel belittled and disrespected by this employee and I hope she doesn’t treat anyone else like this. Hotel manager- please speak with her about this!
