Someone collapsed in the pool and it took staff/lifeguards 10 mins to respond. The staff wouldn't stop the party and even told the dj to turn up the music. Took over 25 mins for paramedics to arrive. Having a pool party you think they would have lifeguards and paramedics on hand

I wanted to give this resort a fair chance despite the reviews but the food is indeed TERRIBLE, the drinks are either watered down or taste like rubbing alcohol. The rooms are bad, however they have an awful smell(kinda like sewer), we asked to switch room and that never happened, the bath towels are gross. Look I can go on and on. Honestly if you’re looking to party like you’re 20 with cheap drinks and terrible food this is the place, other than that I couldn’t wait to leave and NEVER RETURN.

The greatest party in Latin America. The only thing it lacked was 24 hour room service for food. This would make this property a five star property I would even pay for the food.

I read both good and bad reviews about this resort. I would agree that it’s a ‘party’ resort with a wide spectrum of age demographics. There is a resort-organized party 3-4 times per week I believe, with the neon/foam party on Saturday, with a dj. That was fun. The food was great, with a wide selection of restaurants and buffet locations. Atmosphere is very clean. Great place for families, a destination with a partner or friends to party. I recommend this resort.

My room was too close to the disco, it was hard to get to sleep. Also a lot of people walking past my room. That's the only issue. Everything was fantastic.

Me and my husband enjoyed our stay at your resort. We had our 38 wedding anniversary. Rooms are clean and we didn’t have any problem changing our room because it’s too far for me to walk to the pool . The staff at the buffet restaurant are nice and we became friend with Efren and the lady Caridad who keep our room clean was friendly. Other staffs are nice and also johan where we purchased our ticket to the El Caro. Thank you and we will see you again soon ❤️

we were checked in & provided with almost no direction. the attendee said to make a left & look for villa 5. My friend & I had three suitcase with us thinking that there would be elevators available & the lobby was filled and figured no one offered to take our bags because they were busy. However once we arrived to the villa we realized we were on the third floor of the building with no elevators. We dragged our bags up three flights up stairs & decided to not make it an issue. That night we went to dinner & came back to 4 cockroach in the room. I went downstairs to the lobby & they informed me they’ll move us to another room & will send someone to help with the bags. We were moved to another (same as the first one). That same night we had two people key into our rooms while one of us was sleeping. The first person opened the door & then closed it immediately & the second person literally gasped when they walked in. A few minutes later we received a call with the receptionist informing us that we are in a room we are not suppose to be in, my friend tried to explain they we were moved to that room but it wasn’t until we told him that they sent someone to get our bags & bring us there that he believed us. The next morning we went to watch the sunrise & came back to grab our items for an excursion & was locked out the room. We spoke with a manager & she offered a reservation to a restaurant that did not require reservations. Definitely the worst hotel/Riu I’ve stayed at
