This hotel has seen better days. The room which we were given was just off the reception area and was noisy, dark and dirty, in fact the shower was so dirty (mould on the shower curtain, window above shower and base) I personally purchased bleach to clean it myself, which did not clean the floor tiles, I'm assuming it was therefore grease from other guests feet. Having had stayed in many hotels of varying grades I have never felt compelled to do such a thing.
The guesthouse is in a great location on the peninsula however, the Wat across the street comes alive with chanting and loud drumming at 5.30 every morning and hundreds of people for the monks alms precession and on the Friday it was 4am, if you want rest (i.e sleep) and a clean room look elsewhere.
