RUSTY'S COTTAGE A COZY GET- A- WAY

Rusty's Cottage is named after my father and is a very special place in my heart. This small one bedroom house is located in Post City Texas, named after C.W. Post, who was an American Pioneer in the food industry. Post Corn Flakes, Post Raisin ,Brand and many more.
The Top Attractions of Post, OS Ranch Museum, Garza Historical Museum, Ragtown Theater, and Post Trade Days, this market place opens it's doors , second weekend of each month.
The space
Rusty's Cottage was designed and created about a year after my father passed away. His name was Ralph, but everyone called him Rusty, he was a very special man and everyone in Post knew him. My mother and I decided to put in a Honeymoon Romantic Get-a-Way in this small rock house directly behind her home, and we worked under the Umbrella of the Garza Hotel here in Post. Our cottage was a big success and rented for $165.00 per night. After 911, we ended up closing our small business down and it then became empty for months. I have now reopened Rusty's Cottage and I am in hopes that others enjoy it's beauty as much as we do.

Rusty's Cottage is a small one bedroom house, located in the middle of the block, between 11th st. and 12th st. on Ave L. The large 2 story house on 11th and L belongs to my mother who owns Rusty's. There is a fenced in side yard, with a Wooden Pergola and outside furniture, plus a fire pit.
We have added a back area for your furry family member, it's in side yard the opening use to have a gate onbit, but now its a yard for your pet. It has a motion light. This way your pet doesn't have to go out in the front yard.

Other things to note
Post City Texas has a main street with a few unique dress shops and other special gift shops. There is a new Christmas Store (mine) and it is located on 12th and Hwy. 84. the name of my shop is "Santa's Hares & Bears and I am opened on Thursday 11-6, please come and see me and my Handmade Santa's. There is a wonderful Coffee shop on 84 o is called "Coffee Wizards" and a new Ice Cream shop on downtown Main street, behind the McDonald's on the corner. Please enjoy our small town while you are passing through.

Fisherman and Hunters are welcome to stay at my Cozy Cottage, only a few miles from White River Lake and Lake Allen Henry where you can find great outdoor fun.
Lots of Wonderful gift stores in our little town and a Great Drive in, Holly's, with the old fashion car hops, and George's Restaurant with wonderful, tasty foods you just can't beat it.

Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned vacation home, which features a fireplace. There's a private patio. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. I enjoyed having the space to myself and that I could do what I wanted when I wanted to do it. If there had been a chair or other place of outside furniture on the front porch so I could have had my morning coffee out there that would have been a nice touch. I wasn't concerned with the no shower situation but a review of how that would beore beneficial to guests might be a good idea in the future.

Best VRBO in Post Texas
My wife and I absolutely love Rusty’s Cabin. I always look forward to coming back here. On this trip, we hosted numerous class mates from my 40th High School Reunion. They all came to “Rusty’s Cabin” for breakfast. Before we knew it, we had extended breakfast in the backyard area which is amazing until 3:00 P.M. Absolutely one of our favorites and we stay at VRBOS all over the world. Going to Post? This is the place.

For a tiny cottage, it still feels very spacious. The backyard area was done very well, and our dogs loved having a little space for themselves. The bed was big and comfy, and the chairs and couch were perfect for lounging. The only down side is that there was no shower and we were asked not to use shampoo or bubbles in the nice jacuzzi tub. We only stayed one night, so not being able to wash my hair was fine, but if we had stayed longer I would have had to wash my hair in the sink.

This super cute and cozy little house was perfect for my 2 night stay. I appreciated all of the little special touches like battery operated candles by the giant bathtub (no shower), steps beside the huge king bed, and the visitor guide left for me. Host communication was beyond amazing. Do yourself a favor and bring a facemask and bathbomb to enjoy the amazing bath!

Rusty’s Cozy Cottage
The best thing about this cozy cottage is the big inviting jacuzzi bathtub in the bathroom. It was wonderful and so relaxing after driving hours on the road. The cottage is pet-friendly and it was nice to have the enclosed, fenced yard for the safety of our 2 little dogs. We will be staying here again. Thank you!

Best ever One Night Stop Over
Stopped for a 1-night layover on our way back home from Galveston, TX. Theresa was super easy to work with and answered our questions promptly. The property itself was clean, and cozy. The bed was amazingly comfortable. We travel with our small dogs, and we're always concerned about the backyard safety. No need to worry! The backyard is fully enclosed and clean as well.

Amazing Little House With Everything You Need
Loved the esthetic of this house! If you’re into Victorian decor, this place does it well. I was only there for one night on my journey to New Mexico but, there was an incredible thunderstorm that blew through. The patio area is so serene, that it made it perfect to sit back, relax, and enjoy the storm…at least until it started pouring! Will definitely be saving this place for when I decide to take another roadtrip!

Rusty's Cottage was the perfect overnight rest stop for our road trip to Colorado. The home is cozy, bed was super comfy, and definitely no complaints about relaxing in a jetted tub after 8 1/2 hours of driving! Teresa was incredibly accommodating - sent everything we needed in advance and checked on us because we got into town a little later than originally planned. We got in late and left fairly early the next morning so didn't get to experience much of Post (side note, Coffee Wizards was outstanding). Rusty's Cottage is definitely a hidden gem!
