We got off on the wrong foot, but the staff made up for it over our entire stay. As soon as we got there, the staff was not very welcoming, we understand a little bit of Arabic so we could understand some of the negative things the staff were saying about us. We simply wanted good prices on daily cars to tour the local tour spots.
We ordered our 4 nights through Hotels.com with breakfast included, but staff said breakfast was not included. Had to call Hotels.com to clear the issue. Turns out breakfast was included, but staff made it seem like they were doing us a favor by serving us breakfast, even though we had paid for it. There are many things for breakfast, but everything is cold. There was a hair in some of our food and the egg was slimy. This was like a cheap $17 hotel though, so what do you really expect? You get what you pay for.
Across the street is the Cleopatra hotel, we inquired about their prices, which are similar to Alhambra, just a little more expensive, but they were very friendly and welcoming there, so we ate our meals there at Cleopatra.
Alhambra staff did try to make up for this initial unwelcome feeling though, throughout the rest of our stay, and we were satisfied enough with our stay, but would not choose to go to this place again. Instead, we'd go to Cleopatra across the street.
Additionally, we did not see any other people staying at this hotel. It is a huge hotel with many rooms, but we were the only ones there throughout 4 days.
