We stayed in their cabins right on the water. The room was beautiful and comfortable. We went to a restaurant they recommended and it was the best meal on our 2.5 week trip. The welcome we received when checking in was fabulous.

Strong smell of cigarettes, bathroom very dirty and unhygienic, lots of hair accumulated in all corners, grubby hand marks on door handles and door. Bedroom carpet tiles would slip on movement underfoot. Woke in the morning with mite bits all over my back & legs.

Overnight on the NC 500
The Harbour Inn is a historic building and has a lot of character. I had the single room, #3, that had the bathroom across the hallway. The room itself has all the basics you need for coffee and tea, plus condiments and biscuits. The room has a view of the harbor. Breakfast was excellent! For the amount I paid and previous reviews, I was worried, but Ken and Virginia were welcoming hosts and you can't get something similar for the price in the US. If they were to give the place a refresher they could easily charge double the price.

One Night Stopover
Friendly, helpful hosts, cooked breakfast served to room was ok if you choose wisely. Room had a lovely harbour view, although could have been so much nicer. Room decor bit tired, cleanliness standard of shower unit and carpets poor. This B&B has potential to be fabulous but would only recommend using for 1 night if you're looking for a stopover on NC500

Tired accommodation.
The hosts tried their best to make our overnight stay a good experience, but sadly the accommodation let them down. The room window catch was broken and couldn't be be shut tight, or even opened. The whole place is run down. A well cooked breakfast on a trolley was delivered to our room, with the host dressed as a chef, was a nice touch and delicious. Excellent hosts, just the property a let down.

Ok, but bathroom could do with a deep clean though. Toothpaste left around sink from previous occupancy. And the cabinet underneath was filthy. Mould in shower area which is easy cleanable. Dust around light fittings. Breakfast was very nice.

Very nice property with very friendly, affable owners. My room was clean and well-appointed. The en suite was great, seemed new and with good functionality (rainfall shower, lovely basin). Breakfast in the room is a nice touch. Carpets on the stairs could do with a clean but otherwise all good!
