Relaxation at its best!
Our family (2 adults, 4 kids) truly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The cabin itself would have been amazing enough, but the trails, pond and river just made it that much more of an escape from the real world. The cabin is perfectly located between Niagara/Buffalo and Rochester. This allowed us easy rides to Niagara Falls, and two trips to Rochester to see the Red Wings play and go to the Planetarium. Hamlin State park was a nice location to swim as well. Overall, this was one of the top rated places we’ve stayed over the years, as the cabin had everything we needed and the location was breathtaking.

Relaxation and Family Time
The cabin served our family of 7 well. It was clean, met all of our needs and gave us an opportunity to relax and spend time together. Our kids enjoyed fishing in the pond and kayaking and swimming in the creek. The location was ideal for two day trips to Niagara Falls and we throughly enjoyed the firework show in Lyndonville on the 4th of July. If ever returning to the area, we will certainly book the property again.

Family Adventure
We loved everything about this property. The cabin was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was adequately supplied. We were there to see Niagara Falls and Lake Ontario and my kids would have been content to stay at the cabin the whole time we were there. They loved to explore the trails and catch frogs at the pond. We spent alot of time down at the creek swimming, hammocking and fishing. Thanks for letting us stay at this beautiful property!

Third time stay at this location and booked my fourth while i was there couldn't be happier with location and setting. Host checked in with us before we arrived and was available when we called with questions. We frequent this area a few times a year and couldn't ask for a better stay its truly a home away from home.

Great Stay-Great Fishing
This was our third stay at this cabin on the Johnson. The new steps up to the loft are a vast improvement over the old ladder. Quality and cleanliness continue to be of the highest standard. The kitchen is well stocked and overall the cabin is very comfortable, including the beds. And then there is the fishing...we had a really spectacular number of salmon and brown trout in the waters. You can never time it right every year, but this year we hit it just right. The result was lots of fish caught by all five of us. We definitely be back next fall.

Family Reunion Trip
Another fantastic stay at Katie’s cabin. This was our 2nd stay. The cabin is clean and comfortable. The beds provide restful sleep, and the kitchen is well stocked. The property is incredible. The well maintained hiking trails make it so easy to get around the property and to Johnson Creek for great fishing. One of my favorite spots is the back porch swing. The cabin sits on top of a rise and you can view the property and the pond from the swing. Communication with Katie was excellent. We were delighted when she brought us a replacement light bulb and shared a few moments with us. Since we have family who live in this area, we look forward to staying here again.

Amazing Cabin and Host
Wow! Our trip could not have been better. This cabin was amazing and met/exceeded our expectations. We had children that kept busy outdoors exploring, fisihing, kayaking, bon fires, etc...and had a great time. I walked the well kept trails every day. This cabin had EVERYTHING we needed. I packed "just in case" items i never used. Our host Katie was just as amazing and responded to our inquiries immediately. Thank you Katie for sharing your beautiful cabin with strangers. Our family is grateful and we pray to come back often.

Upstate trip
We stayed at the cabin in the winter and it was perfect. 40 private acres is amazing. The cabin was perfect for our family. The pond, trails, creek and hills were all great and provided us with plenty to do right on property. We finally got some snow so we could try out the sleds on the hills and had so much fun. The owner was easy to contact and set up an additional day so we could enjoy the snow.

Creek Cabin is Awesome
We had a great time and as we came to fish we found the access to the Johnson Creek easy and the fish were definitely in the waters. We may have been a little early for brown trout but we caught plenty of salmon and a few browns. The cabin is clean and comfortable and the addition of the stairs to the loft make it easily accessible. I was there in the spring when there was a ladder to the loft, and it was kind of tough on an old guy like me, so thanks for the stairway to the loft. The kitchen is well stocked and there were lots of condiments and stuff in the fridge. All in all, a very nice time, comfortable beds, etc. Katie is very quick to respond if you have a question. Definitely will return next spring to chase steelhead.

Finding what has become affectionately called “Katie’s Place” is one of the best finds of all time. We fish in the Florida Keys, Wyoming, Yellowstone, Montana, Idaho, PA, NC, regularly and this place is one of the best.

Annual fishing vacation
This was absolutely perfect for our annual salmon fishing vacation. With the option of a fish cleaning station and use of the shed coupled with the use of the deep freezer, then add on the fishing access and spectacular cabin to stay in, made it the best year yet. It was my seventh year of "salmoning". Will hopefully book again!!!!

Great property
We enjoyed our stay. Clean property. Creek was low when we were there so we couldn’t really fish much, but it was a great place to sit and chill. My nephew loved the pond. House was a great fit for us. Great location. Saw some eagles, Herron, and lot of wildlife. Owners reached out and helped us when we needed it. Quick response. Loved the trails. Would definitely stay again. Lot of equipment and stuff to use! Thanks.
