Firstly the good things : Very pleasant staff, good breakfasts and coffee, big comfortable bed and good location in an interesting area, close to lots of restaurants and brasseries. Also only a couple of minutes from the metro.
Now the things I didn't like : check-in took ages, mainly because when I unlocked my room I found it was occupied by another guest and it took a while to get me another room. I had a tiny bathroom which a fat person would not have been able to move in. There was no chair in the room, just a sort of stool I put my suitcase on. I particularly disliked the corridors and stairwell which were quite dingy. To get to the breakfast room on the first floor, you took the lift down to the second floor and walked down a floor and some of the stair treads were worn and potentially dangerous.
To be fair to the hotel, the price was reasonable for a big city, so perhaps I should have paid more for a better hotel.
