This is a solid property that is in a safe and fun part of town. It is walking distance to the museum. The staff is super friendly, courteous, and knowledgable.

Barely 2-star. Everything looked and felt cheap and broken. No shower curtain so the bathroom flooded. Dirty sheet. Wifi only worked at 6am. Front desk staff rarely there. Cleaners stole food from my room. I wouldn't have let them in but there was no 'do not disturb' sign and I never saw anyone at the front desk to tell them not to clean.

This is a very basic hotel. Super friendly reception and room was clean. However the whole thing feels a very run and basic down and the bathroom has a bath with hand held shower. That would be OK but I paid Euro 150 inc tax and it felt like incredibly bad value. It may have been a peak time due to Champions League - game. I just looked again now and it is showing at £67. For that price it feels OK

I'd recommend this lovely hotel.
What a lovely place, great location and with a huge daily morning market running along the Boulevard. Our hosts were great, gave us a map and marked out a good walking route down to the old town, up to the cathedral and Romain site. There was a bath in our bathroom - heaven as after all the walking up hill and down dale, my calves really appreciated the soak in a hot bath. Toiletries and disposable plastic beakers were provided, but we had taken our own and by doing so hope to save on plastic and packaging waste. Parking in Lyon was a nightmare and we much appreciated the hotel secure parking across the boulevard. The next day we tried to visit the archeological museum but had to give up because there was nowhere to park.

Mixed feelings about this hotel
Firstly the good things : Very pleasant staff, good breakfasts and coffee, big comfortable bed and good location in an interesting area, close to lots of restaurants and brasseries. Also only a couple of minutes from the metro. Now the things I didn't like : check-in took ages, mainly because when I unlocked my room I found it was occupied by another guest and it took a while to get me another room. I had a tiny bathroom which a fat person would not have been able to move in. There was no chair in the room, just a sort of stool I put my suitcase on. I particularly disliked the corridors and stairwell which were quite dingy. To get to the breakfast room on the first floor, you took the lift down to the second floor and walked down a floor and some of the stair treads were worn and potentially dangerous. To be fair to the hotel, the price was reasonable for a big city, so perhaps I should have paid more for a better hotel.

Lovely area & friendly staff
We stayed here for the European rugby finals in May. The hotel was comfortable, in a lovely area right by the tube station. Approximately 20 minutes walk to the river

Lovely neighbourhood
Stayed for 8 nights for Euro 16. A small hotel in the district of Croix Rousse. The rooms are not very big but perfectly adequate and whilst they would benefit from some re-decoration, are clean and comfortable. We were out all day, every day throughout our stay so weren't there very long but found the staff helpful and courteous at all times The area itself is a delight. Away from the city centre (but easily accessible by Metro) it has its own culture, style and relaxed feel. Lots of bars/bistros and a regular street marked. All in all, a perfect base for a visit to Lyon

Great weekend with friends in Lyon
Great place and value hotel for a weekend trip with friends to Lyon. Good location for sightseeing, many restaurants close by, and nightlife. In addition, just in the street outside there is a Sunday street market which is very convenient.

Lyon, near friends
The hotel was satisfactory for our needs as it was near our friends apartment. The bed was ok and the breakfast was satisfactory. We would stay again to be near our friends. Good market in Lyon.

Great location, not.
Hotel is very centrally located and is very clean, and comfortable. I would have given it a 4.5 if it hadn't been for the bar next door. We were there 3/17. Who knew the French were into celebrating St Patrick's day. The noise level was insane. Two nights later there was a band at the same bar that ear plugs couldn't silence. So the only issue is the bar next door.

Friendly service
The hotel is well situated and clean, the room we had was adequate, not big. The problem is mainly the noise from the street which is much worse in the summer with windows open. The staff is friendly.

For the star-rating and price, I expected more. The elevator is out of the 1940s, as is the shower. There is no such thing as coffee or tea in the room. The location is a bit out from the main interest locations and the main train station. The breakfast is basic and overpriced. Overall, the hotel is mediocre at best

My romantic getaway became a Carnival....
Our two night romantic get-a-way in Lyon became nothing more than a noisy, raucous, street filled, crowded, array of carnival rides or all types, carnival food offerings and no place to park ANYWHERE with a 8 block radius. We specifically rented a car to go to Lyon from Paris for our anniversary. When I mentioned to the clerk that I may want to leave after one night, she said that because I booked on the internet I could not cancel the second night. ( I was hoping to go anywhere but here). She also told me the carnival would be on for over one month. The boulevard where the hotel was located was PACKED with rides and food vendors as far as the eye could see day and night although the rides ended at about 10PM. The hotel was clean but the room was tiny beyond even what I am used to in Paris. The bathroom was more than tiny. The clerks I encountered were nice enough but I would not stay here again because of the location.

Nice hotel
The hotel was situated very close to the metro station -Croix rousse. There were local pubs and restaurants just outside the hotel and the place was lively. There is also a supermarket nearby-Monoprix.

Loved every moment!
This little hotel was fantastic! Our room was basic but quite big, not to mention very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were also very kind and helpful. The location is perfect - very close to public transport (bus & metro), cafes, bars, shops, bakeries and the market is just across the street every morning. Our window was overlooking the main street, so there was a bit of noise at night and early in the morning, but if you don't mind waking to a Spanish guitar jam session (at the cafe below) then this is the place for you! I'd definitely stay again.
