For what we expected in Aguas Calientes and what we paid, this spot was create. A simple room, but fit our needs to allow us to see Machu Picchu. Aguas Calientes is very small and walkable and this place in the center of the more tourist area.
Great location for an easy stay in Machu Picchu Pueblo. We could see people lining up for the bus from the window in the morning, and while the noise from the street is audible in the room, the hotel itself was really quiet. Staff was great and the light breakfast with hot and fresh scrambled eggs was appreciated. Shower was luke-warm at best, and the bed was very comfortable.
The hotel sent us a email to inform us that there will be the machu picchu anniversary during our stay.
No more information is given so we decided to go foward with this hotel.
Finally the anniversary was actually a huge party right beside the hotel and ended at 4 am …
Conclusion : we could ear everything from the room and we haven’t slept the day before our machu picchu adventure ( hike and visit).
We asked for a refund for the second day because we couldn’t sleep there. The girl at the front desk was not helpful at all. She played the innocent one saying that we have been noticed. But again there email vas totally unclear and we could have never know that the anniversary was actually a party that ended at 4 am and was right next door.
We left without a refund and found a better hotel far from the party. Lost of time and energy, very disappointing.
This is not really an hotel. The room we had felt like a place you would rent if you were working in the area and had to bring your small appliances. The door lock was unsafe, directly in the handle and you had to triple check if the door was staying closed before leaving. The only air circulation come from a window and ours was on the side of the local gym. We only had one mini roll of toilet paper without any backups. This is for one night stay at affordable price but don’t expect more than the price you pay. There was an openned electric wall box exposing the wires. The good things were the girl doing the check-in, the breakfast and they accept to keep our luggage for the day during our hike. So to the owners stop cutting corners and finish the cement in the shower, add proper locks on top of the door knobs, close exposes wires, plaster the wall and get air circulation in the rooms.
Had an amazing view from the 6th floor! The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Although there is no AC, you really dont need it because the temperature goes down in the evenings and you get a nice cool breeze in. This hotel is at a great central location, but everything is walkable around the area. There is a little restaurant in their lobby thats also really good. We enjoyed a few drinks there. We would definitely stay here again, totally recommend!!
Great location. Clean hotel. Staff very nice. Very close to line for buses to ruins. Tons of dinning options close by. Fall asleep to the sound of a mini waterfall right outside hotel. Only minus was that breakfast was very limited.
El hotel esta muy céntrico y con una vista muy hermosa hacia el río. Nuestro tour salia miy temprano y ya tenian preparado nuestro almuerzo. El personal fue muy amables.
