We liked our stay. The bed was great. Cozy and comfortable. Loved the decor and we appreciated the nice hot shower after a long day out. The breakfast was nice (I would only recommend to offer some milk to go with the coffee). The staff was attentive and friendly. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we are ever visiting in the area again. Thanks so much!
If you want to stay at the loudest hostel in South America this is where you go. The bar upstairs was so loud packed with obnoxious locals and employees every night. The staff were friendly but there was always 8 staff members there at all times yelling talking at all hours of the day and night and wrestling in the lobby. 7 am the maid was Blair oh music right next to the dorms singing. Bathroom were unpleasant and garbages filled with poopy toilet paper overflowing. Room was musty and damp. Would not reccomend
We booked with this hotel mainly as an overnight stay before our early Machu Picchu day.
1. It was so loud at night until 2am with people playing volleyball right outside our window and partying, etc. We couldn't sleep!
2. We had to check out at 6:15 a.m. to start our hike at Machu Picchu. Well the front desk was closed. The guy promised us the night before he would leave fruits for us for breakfast because we're leaving early (their breakfast starts at 7am) and it wasn't even open lol. We called the WhatsApp number on the door, no answer.
We aren't mad about not keeping the promise of early breakfast. We are mad that front desk was closed with no response to calls so we had to leave our stuff to a random coffee shop before our big hike. They wasted our time & caused great distress before our Machu Picchu day.
3. the place is filthy. The towels and the sheets were stained from end to end without smelling nice. We ended up drying ourselves with our clothes.
4. They added 5% to our booking for using a credit card. They inform you that when you check in, but hotels.com doesn't mention that the booking is a cash price so I was annoyed.
Very vibrant and clean space, and the staff were great. Gino and Angie made me feel so comfortable and at home and helped me with any questions I had. The food was also wonderful.
Staying at Supertramp was a great experience. The Hostel was clean and the staff was very accommodating. I had an early morning trek to Machu Picchu and they made sure to make me a brown bag lunch I could bring with me.
The kitchen staff take time and care to make tasty meals for a really affordable price.
This was a great place to meet people. There is a bar on the top floor where I had a fun time with the staff and guests. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.
Matteo was amazing. I have worked in hospitality for 10+ years and he absolutely went above and beyond to help me out with a couple of issues that were truthfully beyond their control. All of the staff were wonderful and also genuine about their interactions. Tourist town or not, I would go back just because they were all so lovely.
Fun atmosphere, great people and bar upstairs!!
The staff was really friendly, let me print tickets and store bags in a secure locker, and great breakfast
This hostel was pretty good. The only thing that annoyed me was that the receptionist told us that for hiring towels we just had to put 10 soles down as ‘a guarantee’. the next morning when we went to get our money back he said no, and that it actually cost 10 soles to hire the towels and we couldn’t have the money back. Not much money but still annoying.
Great stay. Very well-designed and spacious bunkbed rooms. There's enough space on the top bunk to keep a lot of things up there while you sleep, plus a light/shelf/curtain. Very quiet (maybe my luck but the room seems designed that way). Not a fan of ensuite bathrooms personally, but it was good. Fine water temp. Really nice & capable staff.
The hostel was cool and the staff are very friendly and super helpful. Perfect for one night stay. The only challenge was that the noise from upper floors (and the rooftop bar) could be heard till 3 am, especially since I had the upper bunk, so it comes through the ceiling. Too loud, especially when you have to wake up at 4:30 am for the first buses to Machu Picchu
Muy buen hostel. Buena relacion precio/producto.
