Very clean, completely renovated rooms. Fantastic hot showers. Crisp sheets. Great dining options downstairs in hotel. Close to everything in the city centre. Great price. Would return here again.

Good country pub in the middle of Mackay.

It was wonderful to find a great value pub Accom in the middle of Mackay. Excellent value for money and also great food as well.

As a retiree one has to be careful and watch the pennies, this hotel ticks all the accomodation boxes with no compromise ..

Service leaves a lot to be desired

Would not recomend this hotel , no lights on entrance stairs, 2 lights in room not working, staff very rude when I required about my security deposit re enburstment, cheep and nasty, plenty better places to stay for a little more money.

Excellent location to Center of town, short walk t

I found the staff very friendly and willing to assist at all times. The food menu in the hotel is varied and also to an excellent standard. Well worth eating there.

Basic room close to the CBD

Basic room that was good value for the money. Comfortable mattress, clean linen, spotless shower and vanity sink. Stayed a couple of days and the room was serviced every day. Easy check in through the bar area. You can check out early despite what other reviews indicate.

You get what you pay for.

Very cheap accommodation, but it shows. Room was tidy enough, however stains on sheets/carpet. Most lights didn't work (including fire escape) and tv remote had no batteries. It's okay if you're just looking for somewhere to sleep.

Correct for a small budget, but wifi is missing

Contrary to the booking, there are NO family rooms for 4 people. AVOID room 7, which is terrible. Finally we were given two consecutive double bedrooms which were ok. Especillay for a such small price. NO WIFI, and television doesn't work. Nice staff, anyway. Rooms are clean.

Overnight pitstop

We struggled to find the entrance to the hotel and eventually discovered this was through the bar as there was no reception. The emphasis was clearly on the slot machines and bar. The barmaid checked us in. The room was dingy and small but it was clean. My partner said it was as close to hostel type accommodation as it was possible to get but still label itself a hotel. We ate there, in the bar. The food was good but could have been hotter. Just about OK for one night.

Don't stay here!

Terrible, No hot water, tv reception was so bad I couldn't watch anything. Aircon did not work properly, it is above a pub if you need to sleep don't stay here, after paying full price before arriving they wanted to charge $200 to my credit card and said it would not be charged back for at least 4 days.......

The beds were clean and comfy but that's about it. Ok if you just want somewhere to sleep then move on.
