Officially a 2 star hotel but better than some 3 or 4 star hotels. Clean, quiet and air conditioning. Nice shower, has a mini fridge and the room had sockets for international guests.

Nice location that is a close walk to many site seeing areas. The room was prett dirty when we checked in. There was dirt and dust throughout the room and even some broken glass on the floor under the tables and bed.

It is a depressing environment, but it was super clean. I did not know it was a hostel, thought it was a hotel, I was booking quickly after being refused boarding on my flight due to COVID restrictions. I panicked when I saw the hostel, I wanted to leave as soon as I arrived, but it was non-refundable and quite expensive. I only stayed one night so I dealt with it. But... never again

Great location within walking distance to everywhe
The place is at a great location and the staff is super friendly. Breakfast is awesome and includes eggs, sausages, ham, juice, fresh fruit and yogurt. If you don’t include it on the booking it costs 6€. The rooms are so small but comfortable to sleep.

Hotel was on the first floor with good lift. Reception was available 27/7 and very helpful. Room was very clean and spacious, bathroom was excellent. Breakfast was in a private cafe about 100 yards up the road and the buffet provided all the usual continental fare plus bacon, sausage and scrambled egg.

Within walking distance of many attractions!
Within walking distance of the Atocha Train station, Retiro Park, the old city Center, the Prado Museum, etc. The staff were extremely helpful and there was someone at the desk 24 hours a day. Completely adequate for our visit to Madrid!!!! We'd stay there again.

The hostal is convenient for all the sights in Madrid as well as the Atocha station as it is just a 10 minute walk.If you enjoy parks you will be in the Retiro Park in 10 minutes as well.You find loads of restaurants (simple to fancy) in the neighbourhood of the hotel as well as several small supermarkets. The hostal itself is in the first floor of a beautiful townhouse. Most rooms seemed to have been towards the back of the building so that it was quiet, but ours was quite dark.Being there in summer it helped to keep the room cool, so you did not have to use the air con all the time. The breakfast is served around the corner and offered a good choice of pastries bread, meat, cheese,fruit and of course juices, tea and coffee. We would stay there again as it was clean, good value for money and so close to everything.

Nice place to stay.
Great location. Old building. Well worn floors creaking. Older mattresses. Small bathroom, even for Europe. Had to sit sideways on toilet. Friendly reception. Decent breakfast served in building around the corner. Nice location. Close to Metro. Street was noisy at busy times. Note there are doors that can be closed in front of windows which really helped. AC and Wifi worked nicely.

Central location for day trips in Madrid..
I had a brief stay as I traveled from Northern Spain (San Sebastian) to Southern Spain (Almeria). The check-in took a few minutes, as the person is charge was not available, but I was shown to a comfortable sofa where I could wait. The room was adequate, despite the creaky floor and the uncontrollable air conditioner. The location is nice, a few blocks from iconic tourist attractions.
