Comparing to last time I was there, they are letting deterioration in at least the room I was in. The main lobby is ok.

Great for a stop over when in transit.
This was a stop over and the horel is located just 9 minutes from the airport with a taxi fee of 20 euros. It is also possible to use the metro if you're on a budget. The room is clean and has tv, hairdryer and aircon. It is modern with a nice redtaurant and bar.. The staff are prfessional, corteous and helpful. The area is not great but convenient for quick acess to the airport.

The staff was very friendly and helpful with check-in. It is also very conveniently located close to the metro and it is super easy to reach The Madrid Airport from there. The hotel room was also very spacious, comfortable, and clean with a big bathroom and shower. Also, of extreme importance, the a/c in the room worked very well on a day where it was over 100 degrees in Madrid! The only negatives I have are that breakfast wasn't included in the price (10 euro extra charge for breakfast). Plus, I received this email from the hotel a week ahead of my trip about having to download a special app on my phone in order to access the hotel and get a key to my room but it was completely unnecessary to have the app because everything I needed to check in and get a key was available at the front desk.

Saw the housekeeping staff vacuuming under the beds! unheard of in the US!! Breakfast is good but overpriced. Beds were comfortable, bed linens clean and noticeably recently washed. Bathroom was excellent as is the proximity to the airport. Would stay here again.

It was very nice and convenient but I was given a notice that I needed to download an app to check in. I ended up doing so with lots of personal information to the James and Rita app, and none of this was necessary.

Great experience, only weird part was Hotels.com sent a notification prior to arrival about having to download an app for registration and room key……confusing and not necessary as there are receptionists on hand 24/7 and are very kind

No soap in shower; only shampoo. If there had been soap it was too high for a bath. No tissues, shower cap etc. The man at reception didn’t welcome me; barked orders for passport etc. A 4 star hotel should help a senior with luggage. First room smelled of cigarettes. Changed room.

Hotel Barajas is clean, quiet, and upscale. The hotel is conveniently located with several cafes, pubs, and grocery stores nearby. What I liked most is that the hotel is a 5-minute walk away from the Barajas metro station. The Barajas metro station is one stop away from The Airport. This made travel in/out and a round Madrid suoer convenient. Thank you
