Fantastic Visit
We ended up with a last-minute need for two hotel rooms for five people, and Hotel Princesa was perfect. The rooms were quiet, comfortable, and well-designed, the bar and front desk staff were friendly, and they were willing to store 10 (!) bags for several hours before we were able to check in. The showers were amazing, beautiful view of sunrise over Madrid, and a convenient location, about a 12-minute walk from Plaza de España.

Hotel really nicely renovated. The rooms are clean and fresh. The staff very nice and polite! The only thing I would call out is parking, the advantage is that there is plenty of spots since the parking is shared with the adjoining shopping mall and its practically never full. The only confusing thing about the parking is that the sign to the hotel parking area was labeled as "full" (completo) all the time, which was a bit confusing upon arrival. The hotel parking area was under the construction and a bit messy, not a greatest first imression. The bellman can help with re-parking the car if needed or if full.

As other reviews have stated, the hotel is currently under construction so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was really surprised! The construction seemed to have been going on for awhile so everything looked very new and modern. The rooms smelled recently renovated and were very large and comfortable. There was amazing shower pressure and they left us chocolates everyday. The only issue I had, which honestly I barely noticed, was that the flights would flicker on and off every so often but never permanently. I assume it is because of ongoing construction. Staff was kind and the breakfast buffet was good and had a lot of options. The location is a little further from all the main sights. It took us about 20-25 minutes to get there from the train station. The royal palace was about 10 minutes away walking. The subway station is right across the street. Huge mall on the other side of the hotel. There was almost always a taxi waiting outside also so transportation was not an issue. Great comfortable stay.

The hotel was very quiet, clean, staff was amazing and professional. I felt extremely safe around the area and transportation was very convenient. 3 subway lines within 1 block of the hotel. Loved it. My only complaint was the swimming pool and the access to it. But other than that amazing staff.

The hotel was ok. Great location for my trip but during the stay there was a massive refurbish project going on and the noise of the drilling plus the power cuts didn’t make the stay pleasant. The elevator kept going out of service and I was on a 7th floor having to walk down on the fire scape route a few times.

Close to Gran Via and metro station. Nice restaurant that is open until late. Great breakfast buffet. Only complaint. Housekeeping comes early to your room to clean (around 9am) It happened twice during my stay, housekeeping knocked on my door (only once) at 9am and opened my door as I was getting out of bed. Had I still been asleep they would have walked in on me sleeping.
