The hotel is close to the airport, which is what we wanted. It's quite far from the city center, and logically, there aren't many restaurants nearby. I wouldn't consider it a five-star or even four-star hotel, but it's comfortable for spending the night and traveling to the airport the next day. The staff was incredible.

I had a really nice stay at the Ibis Budget Madrid Aeropuerto. The hotel and rooms were very clean, the room was quiet with excellent blackout blinds. There was lots of choice for breakfast and the food was good at dinner too. This is an excellent hotel to stay at if you need somewhere close to the airport.

Took over an hour to check in. 10+ people in line at reception and only "1" person doing check in. To top it off I checked "pay at the hotel" on the reservation and the credit card used for reservation was not the one I wanted to cancel the bill with at the hotel. They went ahead Without Asking or Checking With Me and billed the original card. Totally unprofessional by This IBIS. Never had a stituation this bad at an IBIS.

Waited in line 45 minutes to check in. Room was tiny and basic at best. No bathroom - water closet for toilet, shower next to WC, and tiny sink between them. Thermostat was so high on the wall I couldn’t see the display. Toilet sounds from neighboring rooms were loud and clear, especially when flushed, and sewage smell permeated my room at times. The hotel advertises an airport shuttle, but you have to pay for it and lug your bags a block away to the next hotel.
