Front desk check in people can not speak English, and asked why you increase person, I showed confirmation letter, finally they found it was their inside mistake, but didn’t say sorry to me.
Hotel is a bit dated but the services were excellent. Maybe that's why the traditional standard can be upkeep. Dinner was great too. Onsen is authentic although not hot enough.
We loved the hotel overall.
The area is a bit quiet and not much to see but was a great getaway spot.
The building feels ancient, but is in excellent condition with modern amenities where you want them. The staff are extremely accommodating and willing to do whatever they can to make your stay the best it can be. It was the ideal ryokan experience.
The kind staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and the onsen cannot be beaten. The private onsen options were affordable and a wonderful experience, too. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. I would give ten stars if I could.
We had a great time. Staff and location are brilliant. Breakfast buffet is really good with large Japanese food and western food section. The SPA is great and clean, but the rooms are very old and outdated, definitely time for an update.
Located in the heart of Ikaho's stone step slope, this beautiful ryokan is perfect for you if your main focus is exploring the historic area and/or Mt. Haruna nearby. The baths are certainly nice enough as well as the bedrooms, and the staff are kind and helpful. The breakfast is amazing too!
