Gorgeous views
Wonderful cabin in a great location with gorgeous views. Nice and cool in the summer as it is at 4500ft. 10 minutes to drive up a pretty step narrow road, but worth it. Could have been a bit cleaner upon arrival. A little work would turn this into a true gem.

Outstanding experience
We booked this at the very last minute, looking for a long father/son weekend. Everything went more smoothly than I’d imagined it could be. No more hotels in the Smokies for us. The place itself was remarkable. Very secluded, even though civilization wasn’t too far away. The only thing that would have made it better was if there had been no cell signal.

Needs a deep clean but has a beautiful view and quiet
We enjoyed our stay but things could have been better. The cabin is in desperate need of a deep clean! Dust, cobwebs, dirty floors and bird poop all over the deck when we arrived. Carolina Vacations needs to take better care of the property. There has been no Spring cleaning on the outside either. Leaves and branches everywhere. Despite the cleanliness, the cabin is great! Secluded in a neighborhood WAY up on a steep mountain side. You'll get used to the drive after a few times. Be aware that you need to press ## before the gate code numbers. The instructions from Carolina Vacations only said to press # once. That will not let you in. The other things to be aware of is the ignition switch for the outdoor gas fire pit doesn't work. We left a long lighter for others to use so you can light it. Also there is a constant chirping sound in the downstairs bedroom. This was the most annoying noise and should be taken care of as it prohibits restful sleep. The upstairs bedroom is great! This cabin is a Maggie Valley gem. They just need to fix the minor problems and clean it up, so it will shine like it's supposed to!

Great location on side of mountain in gated community. Nice two bedroom house with good long range view. Not a lot of level ground to walk your pet but it works.small things could be fixed but nothing major. We would definitely stay there again. We were there in the early fall winter might be a challenge to get up there but a lot of homes there so I guess it must be possible but four wheel drive would be a must.

REPEAT CUSTOMER
We stayed at this cabin this past Christmas and what an adventure. [Read my previous review Dec 2020] We booked Belevedere, in advance for another week July 5th - 12th, because we enjoyed it so much. If you want a cabin that is secluded and quiet during the day and night this is the one. No noise from neighbors, cars, trucks or any barking dogs. The cabin's elevation is 5003 ft above sea level so it was cool, cold in the clouds at times. Actually it is one of weather station locations that gives the real time weather stats: Belvedere - KNCMAGGI40. The drive up and down the mountain seems long at first but became routine after a few trips. Two times we drove up the mountain at night and it was easy. We enjoyed barbequing and watching the humming birds fighting for their place on the feeder. A little Chipmonk was a daily visitor that gourged on the bird seeds we put out. The deck is wrap around with plenty of space. Inside, the cabin is cozy with comfortable chairs and cough facing the "wood" burning fireplace. Who goes to a mountain cabin without a real wood burning fireplace? The beds are comfortable and had clean linens. I think the water softener is responsible for the very white towels and linens. The water softener kicks on during the night which sounds like the chipmonk is trying to get into the cabin. The kitchen has everything you need even a coffee grinder. I brought one just in case. My grandson enjoyed taking a hike up the driveway onto the gravel road to the paved quail ridge road. Grandpa had to stop every few 100 yards to catch my breath. We consider this a safe cabin for our 6 year old grandson. It was another great week at Belevedere but, unfortunately, had to return to sunny hot humid Florida...

WINTER WONDERLAND CHRISTMAS!
It starting snowing at 5:30pm on Christmas eve and when we woke up it was a Winter Wonderland. Everything had a blanket of snow. This cabin was warm, nice and very cozy. We had a crackling fire every night and drank hot chocolate like in the Hallmark movies. We were able to venture out everyday, before the snow storm, to explore and return without any problems. The drive up to the cabin is a bit long but the paved roads make it an easy drive. There is a short gravel road to the cabin that wasn't bad either. It is really worth the drive up and down because of the private location and beautiful view from 5,000 ft. The snow storm presented a challenge for us upon check out when leaving. However, we were prepared with bags of salt and snow chains. We shoveled snow from the paved cabin driveway and salted it which gave our front wheel drive minivan enough traction to get to the snow covered gravel road. In order to navigate the ice and snow gravel road we put snow chains on and made it to the main paved Quail Ridge road. We removed the snow chains and were on our way down the mountain, "very carefully"! For Floridians, this was a Christmas vacation to remember!! Looking forward to our next visit..in the spring or summer...

Great privacy and quite.
Overall a nice time. The property was not the cleanest. Cob webs in corners and and dust on fan blades and flat surfaces. Kitchen had crumbs on counter and coffee ring stains and half full leftover coffee Pot.. Once we wiped everything down it was a nice time. The amenities were a little above average. Such a nice place not being properly maintained. Sad

Quarantine Family Getaway to GSMNP
We wanted a secluded cabin and this was exactly what this was! High up on a mountain overlooking the Maggie Valley and our past that is a beautiful view of the mountains! The cabin could have been a bit cleaner. The downstairs bed was more comfortable than the upstairs. We enjoyed driving down the blue ridge parkway everyday to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park to enjoy hiking, fishing, & sightseeing! It was about an hour drive to the entrance of the park every day but an absolutely beautiful drive nonetheless. This cabin is a steep climb and then turn onto an overgrown gravel path down to the cabin, which was scary the first few times but we got the hang of it. You’ll definitely want to have all wheel drive!

Cleanliness lacking to desire and low/out of basic supplies
The location of the cabin and the neighborhood was beautiful with some amazing views from outside the patio. The cabin itself on the inside was partially run down. Looked like only living room with a nice fireplace and the kitchen were renovated. The bathrooms, the one downstairs that my kids used and the master bathroom upstairs, both had a foul odor probably due to old pipes and sewers. My kids refused to take a shower for the 3 nights we were there. The one upstairs had also a big blood stain on the white walls by the toilet seat, you cannot miss it, not sure how the cleaning crew missed it before we came. As to top it off we ran out of toilet paper on day 2, called the management office we had to go pick it up in their office. My daughter found some dog hair on her sheets, understand it’s pet friendly, wanted to wash them since there weren’t any extra pair of sheets, were told we need to bring our own detergent and toilet paper, the property management doesn’t supply them. The cabin had a for sale sign so it might explain why not being taken care of properly. The property is perfect for ppl or families on the go, who only crash for the night, but for my family who are home buddies enjoying home cooked meals and a glass of wine looking over the sunset, I’m afraid this was not our greatest choice.

Great Views & Adorable Cabin
We had an amazing time at this cabin!! The views were unreal and the cabin was so quaint and cozy for the 4 of us. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was very clean. We were even able to stream movies at night from the chromecast we brought which is always a hit or miss with cabins and their wifi. The driveway was very steep but my Honda Accord made it without problem but prepare because it is steep! We cooked every night and were beyond thankful we were able to have our dogs come. Thanks for a great Memorial Day weekend! We will definitely be back!

Cozy!
The cabin was super cozy and inviting. The only problem was the cleanliness. I believe it’s time for new rugs. The rugs were covered in urine stains from dogs. The furniture and bedding was covered in dog fur as well. We love animals and we were so glad it was pet friendly, but it should have been a little cleaner. Overall, it was a great little cabin.

The sunrise views are amazing! Having a gated community on the top half of the mountain was very nice. The driveway would most require a SUV or truck. It’s rather steep.
