Rustic Lakeside Cabin

The rustic cabin experience awaits at Long Lake in Makinen, MN! This property offers dock access to the west bay of the lake, outdoor fire ring, and an outhouse. This open cabin features a ladder to lofted sleeping areas. Bring your kayaks/canoes and fishing poles, this lake is perfect for paddling. There is public access at the opposite end of Long Lake for boats. The lake is 374 acres and offers seven miles of shoreline!
The cabin has solar lighting inside and out, including the outhouse. This is a dry cabin-bring your own water for drinking, dishwashing, etc. Propane cooking stove inside cabin available as well as a Weber grill (charcoal not provided). Fish the lake or hike the trails through the property. 15 minutes to the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in Eveleth.

Awesome place!
The cabin was as described! Beautiful, remote property. There were some bugs and lots if lilly pads in the bay. The owners were amazing and very helpful! Highly recommended!!!

I loved the property! It's Northern MN so expect skeeters and flies if you come in summer like I did. Owner was super responsive, the cabin was well laid out, and the grounds were peaceful and private.

Trip on a budget
We took a trip to this location late May and the property was beautiful and my kids got to go WILD!!!! My only complaint is that with all the rain there were a lot of mosquitoes. This was a perfect trip since we were balling on a budget!! There was a lot more to do then expected!!
