Checkin was very inefficient, I had booked 2 connecting rooms and was told only one is ready, instead of sending me the other room’s keycard, I was told to go to the reception again to checkin for the other room when it was ready, in spites of the long queue. The breakfast was chaotic, the staff did not assign tables at the entrance, instead it was free sitting, very poor management. The hotel is rather dated, can be improved with some renovation. Otherwise, the price point is quite reasonable.

The property is quite run down. My room bathroom shelf is old. The lift is overcrowded that I have to wait for 10 minutes at peak period. The security officer does not seem to know the basic SOP on key lost and found.y key was dropped at level 15. A search was made to my room and the key was not found. I told the security to check with their counter to see if anyone had returned the key. Instead he checked his mobile that the room status is occupying (not check out). He did not follow our instruction to check with the counter. I was told to pay the lost key instead. I went to the check out counter to check if anyone returned the room 1547 key. The counter staff acknowledged that the key was returned. If only the security followed my instructions and not required me to pay, it would have saved the hassles of following through the lost key process. More room for improvement for Hatten Hotel.

Hotel lacked room amenities like a variety of beverages. For example there were only 2 packets of coffee and tea bags provided. Bottled water in the room appears to be old with condensation inside the bottle. Toilet paper holder was wobbly. The wood and paint at the toilet door jam was peeling. However, room was clean and staff were very friendly.
