The pool is wonderful and the gardens lush and full of birdsong.
We had an apartment and our son a room in the hotel. Both were adequate, except that our son's Air condtioning was not working for two of our four days. We told them and they said they would repair it pronto. They did not but lied that they had, then said that the technician had come and done it, then said the technician had not been available. Eventually, after more complaints, someone consented to turn it on.
There was a loud wedding until 3 am one night, requiring the use of ear-plugs in order to sleep.
The drinks were seriously expensive.
But the worse thing was the food. The breakfast was OK but the one supper we had was terrible, "school food" type. An "amuse bouche" that was a tiny piece of smoked salmon with a dollop of lemon mayo, some mixed macaroni with a few veg and then grey strips of meat in a grey artichoke sauce with no other veg. This was followed by a sickly dessert. The wine list s excellent.
We ate elsewhere other nights, so I don't advise full or half board, there are lots of good restaurants around.
Paestum, the ancient site, is an absolute marvel and I would have slept in a fleapit to see it, Oleandri is not that bad!
