Our stay at Moore House Inn was great! The family that runs the Inn is nothing short of amazing. They were so welcoming and although we had car issues during our stay the couple did everything they could to ensure we still enjoyed our visit! The inn was comfy and welcoming! The breakfast was good with lots of choices. We enjoyed sitting on the swing and listening to the birds and the creek and the little town of Marlinton is so welcoming. We met so many amazing people! Took some amazing bike rides, and then relaxed back in our room.We already can’t wait to go back.
Exactly what I wanted. The entire cabin appeared very clean. The hot tub was heaven. The bed was clean and very comfortable. Contactless check in and out but they left a lovely note on the table and enough lights on to be welcoming. The creek right out side was much better than the app I use at home to help me sleep. Owners checked in by text once or twice a day to make sure all was well, which I thought was lovely. The was plenty to keep you busy, though I chose to simply relax for most of my stay. I plan on returning when possible.
Not a lot of options in the town for dining. A few casual country restaurants. There was one more upscale place, but it was closed. Cabin was nice and we did have the option to cook there or grill. Enjoyed our stay overall. The hosts left nice notes and made sure we knew how to reach them if we needed anything.
The owners were wonderful—friendly and helpful, and since they live nearby, check-in was quick and easy. The property is clean, comfortable, and set in a beautiful, peaceful location just outside of town. What makes this place especially unique is that each cabin has its own story, adding a fun and personal touch to the stay. If you’re visiting the area, I highly recommend staying here!
Moore House Inn & Cabins is the perfect getaway for a peaceful and cozy retreat. The rooms are well-kept, comfortable, and have a warm, homey vibe. The cabins are surrounded by nature, offering a truly relaxing atmosphere. The staff is friendly and always ready to assist. It’s an excellent choice for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy some quiet time away from the hustle and bustle.
The property is gorgeous, and in a beautiful mountain setting. The owners are amazing people who are dedicated to making your stay amazing. Every inch of the room and bathroom was clean. The bed is unbelievably comfortable, with clean sheets and a thick comforter that was really nice to have in the snowy winter. Really no negative aspects to the property.
We used the property as a layover point on our way to Snowshoe from central Virginia. It’s about 40 minutes from Snowshoe, and directly on the route. I would highly recommend the property to everyone.
Beautiful B and B that is just out of the way enough. Quiet, peaceful with a stream and river. Smell the fresh air with wood burning scent. Owner greeted us, very friendly, and had everything ready for our arrival. Loved our room, and one of the cabins will be our next stay. Continental breakfast was great with non dairy milk options.
