We have messaged the hotel the day before arrival for some requests. Was told the check in desk will accommodate our request and they are on our file. When we checked in, the staff did not acknowledge any requests we have made. Since our requests were not a must, we did not pushed for them.
We stayed here for the entire trip, total of 8 nights. We like the pool, the service on the pool level. Very friendly and attentive, often check on us when we were in the pool.
The lobby coffee shop lady was very sweet. She recognized me the second day already and even if I did not ordered from her, she greeted me with a smile and hola. The bell persons were very kind too, always a good morning or have a good day. The front desk staff, which is by the evaluators, never say hi to us as we walked in.
Housekeeping was a different story. Everyday there was something not replenish or missing. One day was hand soap, the other day with no towel. The first 2 day we have to call and ask for toilet paper.
In my opinion, as a Hilton property, I expect at least a 4+ stars service.
The location of this hotel is nice, walkable to Malecon and local shops. Local bus stop right in front of the hotel. Yet, we can basically wave to the bus driver on this main road and they will stop for you.
Overall, this is a “ok” place to stay but a little disappointed at some of the services.
