First I must say that the room was clean and quiet, everything for a nice getaway in the mountains. We went for the ski/snowboard lessons but it rained all day so we could not enjoy any outdoor activities after the first full day. Because of the rain everyone was in the arcade from newborn to 99 yrs old so there wasn’t much to do if you didn’t pre book activities. We found one restaurant that was open (Campfire Grill), it was ok, all the others that we drove to were closed or under construction. Apparently a lot of places are closed on the resort on Thursdays. I would love to stay here again but with more knowledge of the resort and the ideal time to visit.

When I first arrived the check-in office at the resort South Side! They issued me 4 keys and the Unit my daughter was staying in was 191P when they got there it was clearly occupied They had to go back and get assigned another unit they had to go back and get a new unit! All we wanted to do is get out of the cold and get in the rooms! They gave me 2 keys to my other unit at Hotel 3 rm 1307 and The next day when I went out with my boyfriend he left his key and I had mine but when we got back it wouldn’t open the door so I had to go to the North side to get a new key just to get in. I am still trying to figure out why I was given a key for our unit and when I told the agent this is the key that won’t let me in the room! It was a Key for 191p and I told the agent that my daughter turned in the 2 keys to the desk and that room was already occupied! They issued her 2 new keys for the new unit! It was raining cats and dogs! All we wanted was to get in the room and get warm! This was a truly expensive and rat race experience I have ever encountered!

Location of the hotel room was close to most of what we wanted: snow tubing and the indoor water park. The room served its purpose. The slamming of the doors was a bit jarring at first (we were not close to the end of the hallway either. Overall the room was clean and worked for a short 2 day stay. If we stay longer we would consider a townhome or more space. The check in process was quick though they do try and convince you to do the 90 minute tour for the $ 200 credit. This is much like what I imagine timeshare presentations are. I was not interested and politely declined. We made the mistake of not reserving a table for our party of 8 Saturday evening. We ventured off property for all meals except snacks at the water park. We arrived 30 minutes late to our tubing reservation but were still able to make the most of it. Maybe next year we will get lift passes.

Room was dated, from the carpet to the furniture to the sinks, showers… everything. As soon as we got to our room we saw there was no remote to the tv, called and was told housekeeping would take care of it, not remote the first night and tv would work without it. We saw housekeeping the next day and asked for a remote they said maintenance had to take care of it, called maintenance they said they’d be right up to program a new remote, never showed. Checked with the concierge later in the day to try to get a remote said they’d take care of it. Nope… Thankfully we were busy all day because it’s not a room you would want to have to spend a lot of time in. Was not offered anything for our inconvenience at anytime. Definitely will not be staying ever again.
