Received an email 3:31pm regarding bringing physical passport when the check in is 3pm the same day. They did not accept an digital passport and had to drive to medellin again and back.4-5 hours of loss and they didnt even acknowledged the fact that i got the email late and where not cooperative at all. Not solution minded.

Do not let the photos and reviews foul you! on this terrible place they call "The Brown" Hotel in beautiful Guatape... Upon arrival, I waited over an hour just to check in because the receptionist was more interested in their social media than assisting guests. Once I was assisted, a supervisor who was rude and frustrated due to an issue with little explanation. Some employees tried assisting us but the supervisor was not having it. He carelessly told us to go away. The hotel claims to be close to the famous Piedra del Peñol, but don't let that fool you. Unless you enjoy off-road adventures or have a four-wheel drive, good luck! There is no direct road here! be aware... The place smelled like a mixture of mold and despair. Pool looked and it was cold to the touch. The "WiFi" was so slow, it seemed designed to test one's patience. Id bring a star link device if I was you. Guatape itself is charming, "The Brown" ruins its charm. I asked staff to reimburse me, they refused and said ask Expedia "we have nothing to do with it."

This hotel was incredible! Gorgeous resort with the most beautiful view. I wish we stayed longer. The food was delicious, the beds were comfortable, the service was impeccable. A huge shout out to Miss, she went above and beyond to help us with reservations, book pool chairs, and make sure we were taken care of like royalty. She made our holiday even more memorable. I will be back!
