This was a small apartment not hotel room, that included washer and dryer and once a week cleaning. As a tourist, this is not a convenient location, too far from the center.

They had not received my booking from wotif when we arrived an hour and a half after our transaction with wotif. Money was debited from my account but no room booked on their end yet. As result we ended up settling for a lower grade room for the same fee as the one we booked was no longer available. At 4:00pm facing the prospect of having to find other accommodation while on crutches was stressful to say the least.

The Meriton is well positioned, street access is easy for taxi and pedestrian purposes. the reception area is well sized and well staffed. The lift system is clever and secure, the rooms are generously proportioned, fittings are good, maintenance and decor are good, the apartment was clean and the bed very comfortable. We would without hesitation place this venue at the top of the list when next looking for a room in Melbourne.
