The hotel is determined to treat its guests to relaxing comfort and allow them to unwind from the stresses of your normal life. It achieves this through simple well thought out care, beautiful peaceful rural surroundings (but only 3 kilometres from Otranto), a useful degree of luxury and helpful staff. The price reflects this level of comfort, but we would go again when next in Puglia.
The room we had was extremely clean and comfortable, with good lighting and well equiped bathroom with shower. The air-conditioning worked. Both breakfast and evening meal are taken in a beautiful outdoor setting with a wide ranging buffet in the morning. Evening choices allowed for vegetarian diners, was excellent and the lighting after dark gave a romantic note to proceedings, not really upset by the occasional bray from a lonely mule in the next door field. The grounds were well maintained, with plenty of relaxing and comfortable seating areas in both sun and shade and a magnificent centrepiece of a 20-25 metre long swimming pool - not heated. For those with itchy feet the old walled city of Otranto is very close by - 5 minutes by car - with fascinating history a couple of great churches and other sights. Going north from Otranto are some good (if crowded beaches) and wine tasting and Lecce the Baroque city of fine art is an hour away.
