Hotel Romer was a unique experience for us. It was clean and satisfactory. Breakfast was great and well stocked. The kids loved the small but entertaining play area. Night staff gave great dinner recommendations. Day staff was to the point and very short. We would still go back if we were traveling through.

Great staff. Nice breakfast. Fantastic room with excellent facilities including a small kitchenette. Downside was crossing a very busy road from main hotel to rooms. Not much the hotel can do about that but we found it troublesome, time consuming and a little dangerous.

An unexpected great hotel!
The hotel was quite lovely, spread across 2 buildings on either side of the street. The room was spacious with a little kitchenette, and close to Legoland, which was our goal (15 minutes away). Also, the morning breakfast buffet was great. Would definitely stay there again.

Family friendly hotel
Very friendly, family orientated hotel, 5-min walk from town centre with lots of restaurants. We were in an annexe (with car park) across the road from main hotel, so don’t know what rooms in main building are like, but ours were spacious with sitting/eating area and kitchenette. Delicious breakfast.

Hotel Römer in Gunzburg ideal
We are cycling the Danube so Hotel Römer was ideally situated and very comfortable. There was a secure place for our bikes. The buffet breakfast was varied with carbs and protein. It was a short walk to the historic downtown for sightseeing and restaurants. The dining area has a historic foundation preserved in it. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

This is a great local hotel. We truly enjoyed our stay. We stayed here due to the convenience to Legoland but Günzburg also has lots to offer like a stunning old city center and history. I’d recommend this hotel with no reservation.

Ok hotel but a bit expensive for what you get
Parking lot is across a very busy road, so you can find yourself waiting for ten minutes with your belongings and kids before you can cross. No parking on the hotel side, even temporarily to unload. The hotel itself was OK, nothing really good or bad, but the price was high for what you get. Small room, comfortable bed, clean, feels a bit old. Rather close to town center.

Summer 2016 - Legoland Trip Stay in Hotel Roemer
Very accommodating and friendly staff, breakfast was very good. Overall an enjoyable stay. The only problem is with parking which is limited and can lead to problems if the hotel is fully booked.

Hidden Gem
When we arrived we were buzzed into the hotel lobby where we found an envelope with our room key on the counter. After finding our room in this small but extremely clean and cozy Inn, we headed down to explore the town. The hotel manager was now in the lobby, and even though he spoke no English, we found communicating easy enough. His suggestion to see the Basilica was spot on! Amazingly beautiful. Quaint town, perfect for strolling. Comfortable bed.

Cute hotel for families.
Really nice hotel near Legoland. the rooms were nice, the breakfast was excellent, the indoor play area was really nice for my son to enjoy while my wife and I sat on the patio furniture and talked and enjoyed some wine. Nice little downtown area to eat and shop up the hill. Only bad thing was the parking situation across the busy street in 3 different areas was very annoying.

Great stay for Legoland.
We were very relieved and pleased that though we arrived late and couldn't notify the hotel, they had a key ready for us. We rang the bell and they buzzed us in so we were able to get to our very comfortable room after a long 12 hour travel day. Breakfast was great and included a large variety of items. The hotel is less than 15 minute walk from the train station where we were also able to get the Legoland shuttle. We also had no difficulty walking the 10-15 min from the town center where there are a lot of nice restaurants.

Fine choice. Clean, comfortable. Little walk to center of town, but not bad. We were biking and it was very easy to find. Very good breakfast. Adorable children's section/offerings, nice touch even tho we didn't have any with us.

We enjoyed out stay here. The staff did an excellent job of talking to us in English and recommending a place to eat dinner. The hotel is updated and located just down the hill from the original old town platz. We would definitely tell friends to go to this hotel!

Stopped after long drive from Calais,friendly and efficient check in. Quiet room at rear of hotel, large enough comfortable bed plus mini bar. Asked for walking directions to restaurants which are about 10 minutes away with enough choices in an old market place.Thoroughly recommend, the only slight downside is the busy road that has to be crossed to the car park - which is locked at night

This was a nicer-than-most, typical German hotel. That means it is a nice hotel with beds, pillows, etc. that are typical German standard, but are not as comfortable as Americans are used to and expect--the pillows were, unfortunately, VERY German and provided no comfort--maybe we would have gotten more/better pillows had we asked, but we didn't... The breakfast, on the other hand, was fantastic: varieties of cheeses, typical Euro meats, breads, jams, boiled eggs, selection of juices and cereals, but also: hot scrambled eggs & bacon! Delicious! It's also a short (~10-15 min) drive to LEGOLAND.

The best hotel for LegoLand
I cannot say enough about the service at this hotel. Even though we speak very little German, the people at the front desk did so much to help us find restaurants nearby, get train transportation from Munich, find local places of interest for the kids (there is a nice pool less than a kilometer from the hotel that the kids had a blast playing at.) If you are visiting Legoland or just want to visit the quaint town of Gunzberg, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. 5 stars
