We arrived when a protest was anticipated, unnotified of this, we couldn't find the entrance as the hotel was boarded up w/o the name painted over the tiny wooden door to the lobby. Our taxi had dropped us 5 blocks away, so we spent about 10 minutes looking. Loads of friendly staff, small room, super soft bed,
'free" cafe was handy. Food was always cold, except ironically, the chicken salad wrap, which was hot! The pricey dinner was great except the entre which was cold, they remade it and it was also cold, They didn't question why I didn't eat it, nor did they seem to care. Dinner was over $200 CDN. Great location, very noisy in the hood.Hotel offers a walking tour, take it. I would stay here again if a deal was offered, as it was one of the most expensive hotels I have ever stayed in and I have been to over 30 countries.
