Bring shower shoes!!! The only thing clean in the room was the linens. I know this is common in a lot of cheaper hotels, but it was sure a shock to see just how filthy the bathroom was. I brought a black light with me after reading a few other reviews saying how dirty it was. Thankfully the bed and towels were clean though.
I saw many people complaining about rude staff, but actually I found them quite friendly and helpful! If it wasn’t for that and the clean bedding, I would’ve dropped the review to 1 star.
I think if you’re a young guy staying in downtown Miami for a few days, this place is probably ok, but not so much if you’re over 25 and a couple.
You better hope you’re not shy taking a dump in front of whoever you’re staying with, cuz that’s basically what you’ll be doing for your stay. The bathroom is basically a glass cubical that functions as both a toilet and a shower :(
And yes, you can hear everything!!!
Space wise the room was comfortable, but the lack of a kettle made it a hassle. You have to go all the way down to the 2nd floor to get hot water, and no tea or coffee is provided in the room. Expect to pay a lot for that cup of tea, unless you’re smart and grab snack and coffee supplies at the Publix down the street.
Ladies, if you’re thinking of getting all dolled up before your night on the town, good luck! The lighting in the room is awful for applying makeup, and I found myself having to sit by the window for light. The iron leaks rust! Don’t use it!
