I wanted to get a room in Miami so I wouldn't have too far to drive to get the port for a cruise the next day. When I got there (around 9:15pm) there was no one available to check me in. Doors locked. Lights out. I tried calling the number on the door; it just rang and rang and no answered. I called the number on the reservation and got voicemail and no one returned the message I left. Ever. Not that evening and not any time after that. I tried doing the online check-in and "chat" they offered and NONE of it is helpful because THEY ARE GONE and not even manning any communications.
So I had to find another place to stay at almost 10pm. When I contacted them to request a refund, they refused "due to their non-refundable policy". "Non-refundable" should absolutely apply if I wanted to cancel or if I was a no-show, but NOT IF THE HOTEL IS CLOSED. I don't know what their "policy" is, but the website shows, "Check-in end time: 10:00 PM".
While I didn't get to see an actual room, I can say the parking IS TERRIBLE. Though they "offer an onsite restaurant", it probably closes early because if they're gone by 9pm the restaurant would have to shut down well before then. I would never even CONSIDER staying here and definitely would not recommend it to anyone. I hope the guests never need anything after 9pm or it doesn't catch on fire because they'll never know until the next day.
