The hotel didn’t have any rooms ready for us to check into at 4 pm and we had an event to attend that night and needed to get ready. At 4.30 we decided to look for another room since the hotel didn’t know how long it would be before a room was available. After leaving the property, we received a message at 4:45 stating our room was ready. After explaining the situation to the worker at the hotel, she told us she could cancel our reservation. Once she said our reservation was canceled, we booked a room at a different hotel. We later received a message from the Elser Hotel stating that they now can’t cancel our reservation and we would have to pay the full price of the 2 room suite. They didn’t apologize for not having the room ready and even stated that they’re not required to start the room check-in process until 4 pm, even though our room wasn’t ready until almost 5 pm.

Property was awesome. Room was super clean. View was amazing. Unfortunately, the hotel is very poorly run. Checking in was chaotic. There were 60-75 people standing in the lobby at about 4pm. I have 4 small children and we had to sit on the floor of the lobby waiting for our room to be ready. We were assured we would get into our room before 4pm and it wasnt until 4:45 until the room was ready which then made us late for dinner reservations and then late for the heat game. Upon arriving back to the room at 10:30, we called to get sheets and pillows. On 4 occasions, we called down to see where the sheets were and was aussured they were on the way, to no avail. I had to walk down to the front desk at 1145pm to personally ask for the sheets while my son had to make a makeshift bed using 2 chairs as he was exhausted and just wanted to sleep. The front desk agent was extremely rude as he just couldnt understand my frustration. We didnt get sheets until 1215am. I should have just drove home instead of wasting 600$ its really ashame the hotel is run this way. I wont even get into the coffee situation in the mornings.
