I loved everything but the entertainment. I go out of the country for the culture not to hear American music. I guess it’s more catered toward tourist from other countries other than America. The resort food really wasn’t bad. We did have an issue with one of the people there hounding us to meet with people trying to sell us a package for vacationing with Miches that was really annoying which was why they lost the one star. Also if you are just there to relax great but there’s nothing near miches it is a up and coming place to visit so hopefully it will be more to do in the up and coming years.

I would have given 5 stars however when my room was cleaned on Friday the 13th the housekeeper took my own personal wash clothes and they were in my own personal ziplock bag anc clearly didn’t have viva monogram in them ! The staff was attentive at the restaurant,enjoyed the shopping but could use more stores or something additional when it rains to have access too !

Dear Management, I am writing to formally complain about our stay at your resort and the extremely serious and unacceptable treatment we experienced from members of your staff. We arrived at your resort expecting a safe, relaxing holiday. Instead, we were subjected to repeated harassment and misconduct by employees of the resort. As young guests, we were treated in a deeply inappropriate manner. Staff members touched us without consent, would not leave us alone, and filmed us without permission. This behavior was threatening, invasive, and completely unacceptable. Most seriously, one member of our group was sexually assaulted by a staff member. This is a criminal act and a profound violation of personal safety and trust. As a direct result of the actions of your employees, our entire holiday was destroyed. Because of what happened, we were forced to separate, move to different hotels, seek medical treatment at a hospital, and spend our time dealing with trauma instead of enjoying our vacation. No guest should ever have to experience this—especially at the hands of resort staff who are supposed to ensure safety and care. The resort is responsible for the conduct of its employees. What occurred represents a complete failure in duty of care, security, and professional standards. We did not come to your resort to feel unsafe, harassed, or violated—we came to rest and enjoy our holiday. Due to the severity of these events, we are requesting: • A full refund for our stay

The room’s had a ant issue but luckily my mosquito spray worked to kill them for the time being we were there because the language barrier made it an issue to completely get a different room or the right service to get rid of the ants, but the view was amazing. The rest of my vacation was amazing.

Horrible experience. 5 restaurants, but only able to eat at the buffet for 5 days because they won’t let you reserve ala carts even though they were never full. Buffet was constantly running out of items and crowded. Food was horrible. They only stock room mini fridge on arrival day. Housekeeping was horrible and had to ask for items everyday-didn’t always replace toilet paper or the towels they took. Pool is very underwhelming and swim up bar was seldom used by guest because it is its own tiny pool. Felt like staff didn’t want to be there. Bartenders are slow and understaffed and always had to wait for drinks. WiFi was spotty at best. Secluded beach was a positive along with included kayaks/paddle boards.

The airport was quite far from the resort, so make sure to book your own transportation. The front lobby is deceiving. The food is not good… You can only book 2 dinner reservations during your stay, which was not communicated prior to booking. The staff were kind, but clearly overworked and underpaid. Additionally, you have staff hounding you to become members (they are impossible to ignore). This is one of those “read the reviews before booking”!

Impossible to get into Al a carts, the buffets were never stocked, they were always running out of certain liquor and did not restock for a couple days, the evening shows were not in English and most of the staff did not speak English. The resort was clean and staff were friendly.

The staff doesn't seem like they want to be there. It wasn't a great experience at all. Food was bad, not all inclusive like we know everything was limited and bartenders take forever to make drinks sometimes there would be 3 bartenders and 4 people waiting for a drink and it could take up to 15 mins to get a drink when they decided to acknowledge you.

If you are not a member they provide a terrible service at the same time you can see that members got a better service that make you feel horrible because that money that you spent in this property don't mean anything to them

First thing first the hotel is far.. 2nd there service was horrible they ain’t show us around our first day there they just took us to the room…. 3rd we booked an excursion with them next thing you know they cancelled that on us…. We were very satisfied with our stay at Viva Miches. The room was a good size, clean, and comfortable. The shower had good water pressure, and the AC worked well. The restaurants were great — the buffet had different themes each day, and there are four additional restaurants on site. We were able to book the Mediterranean and Atlantic restaurants, and both were very enjoyable. A special thank you to Daniel and Deivi at the Atlantic restaurant — they truly went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We also did a kayaking trip and my son loved it. The staff throughout the resort were friendly and helpful. The bars had plenty of drink options, and overall the food and amenities exceeded our expectations. My son even said he wants to come back someday. If I had to suggest improvements, it would be nice if the swimming pool hours were extended a bit later, and adding photos of the menu items at the à la carte restaurants could help guests know what to expect. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return!

Hard working staff, good air conditioner in rooms. Food is fresh but preparation and choices are poor. Would never go there again because of mosquitos problem and sand flies. Hotel doesn’t make attempts to spray or fumigate the property at least the pool area with annoying flies. Used OFF mosquito repellent entire canister within first day but it didn’t save me from sand flies The only store on the property sell mosquito repellent for over $23 US dollars. Visited DR over 30 times- never ever had such a terrible experience.
