Everyone has their own opinions and expectations. So here are mine.
The resort itself was beautiful and clean.
The rooms are spacious and clean. Be careful if your feet are wet anywhere whether at pool or room as it becomes very slippery and you may fall.
The staff were very friendly and seemed happy to serve you. The only one problem, that it language barrier. They need to learn English. They work very hard for very little so please tip them.
The food was adequate. It was never hot and barely warm. Being from United States, I found very little that I like. The restaurants are almost impossible to get a reservation unless you go to guest services and complain. I hate to complain. Even them some from my group weren't all that impressed.
I never got in one.
The pool was wonderful and their staff were eager to engage you in activities.
So to sum it up, we had fun being there with friends, weather was great, beautiful setting but I will not be going back. There is very little to do however I do suggest letting the crew take you sailing and please tip them. Other people may think it's perfect.
This is just my opinion.

Cons: Property is secluded so you are not bothered by sellers on the beach, clean rooms, small hotel setting so no issues with chairs, no lines for the elevator, no lines for the buffet; Jennifer at front desk is the best and is very helpful!
Pros: bartenders need training!!! If you order a drink from multiple bartenders - they would taste different; employees attitude is not the greatest - you could ask for more yoghurt at breakfast and hear “no more.. tomorrow”, supply chain issue - constantly an issue with running out of something: tonic water, vermouth or multiple other things, pillows are horrible and we had to sleep on the folded towel not to have a neck pain; murky water in the ocean - multiple rivers there and water is not blue or see thru at all; only few employees know English so be prepared to explain on your fingers.

Disliked: Amenities
It's a hotel with very bad food and drinks. I would never return.
We enjoyed our stay. Pros - new resort, great pool and beach, fun shows each night, friendly staff
cons - distance from airport, some things still being worked on, but wasn't a bother to us, smaller compared to other resorts and restaurants had to be reserved at midnight 48 hrs ahead of time.
Nice setting in the area. Good food and clean rooms. Staff
in dining area fast with service.
Things that could be improved. No tissue in rooms. No wastepaper basket in room just small one in bathroom. I'm covered in insect bites. Don't know if I got them by the ocean or pool area. I few of the people got them that I was with.
We stayed one week in March/2025 and my wife and I had an absolutely amazing time!! On other trips often by the end of the 5th or 6th day we are ready to head home, but honestly we both could have stayed at this resort at least another week. If we didn't have to come home, we would have stayed longer. This resort is VERY well run (managed), the staff are very friendly and seem very happy, the beach is beautiful (you can walk a long way and there are no other resorts using this beach), the main buffet is very very good (lots of choice in all categories of food, and it is all very delicious), and there is another smaller beach buffet that is also delicious and super convenient. In addition to the 2 buffets, there are 4 restaurants - we were able to book into 2 of them (Oriental and Latin) but could not get booked into the other 2 (Atlantis (Seafood) or Mediterranean due to lack of available space)... both the Oriental and Latin restaurants were excellent. Honestly, this resort is excellent - Loved it!
Beach was amazing, lots of loungers and calm waters. It’s true the water isn’t clear. Only see you hand in the water for about a foot and a half in front of you with a mask. But the water is not brown or murky looking. Spent a lot of time in the ocean. Staff at bars were slow and made you feel like a bother. Liquor was mostly no name brands or not great quality. Never got the same drink twice to taste the same. House wines are terrible. Unpleasant. Resort is ok. It’s new so it’s nice but everything is cheap so it won’t be nice very long. Restaurants were terrible unfortunately. Japanese was what you expect but the rest were very questionable.
Buffet is ok, most things were barely warm unless it was prepared in front of you. Breads and baked stuff were excellent.
I will really miss the beach. It’s nice for walking and beautiful untouched nature all around. The hobbi cat sail boats you can take out were a nice touch too. Definitely do that.
I’ve been to many resorts and this one is below average with the exception of the oceanfront.
Also the resort caters to Europeans, mostly Italians as per the staff said. So somethings like ice machines do not exist in the hotel. You can only get it from the bar. Oh and the mini fridge in your room is only stocked when you check in. Ours had one coke, one club soda, one tonic water. For two people for a week. I did have a good time but they need better staff and to not cheap out and provide a better experience.
Staff was helpful and friendly. My major issue was with the dining process. The a la carte restaurants, Oriental Fusion, Mediterranean, Latin Fusion, Atlantis can only be booked/reserved once in a 7 day stay. Breakfast, lunch and other dinners are served in El Lago, the buffet restaurant. I walk with a brace on my left leg and use a cane with my right hand, making it difficult to get my food and bring it to the table. No options for a sit down meal.
Brand new property, everything is very clean. Food is excellent, fun excursions, water sport, great entertainment. The resort has their own boat , so the trip to coral reefs for snorkeling was amazing. This nice small resort locates in the wilderness with great walkable beach with palm trees. The live music during beautiful sunsets was very relaxing and enjoyable. I just had two negative things to say about my stay. 1 . My legs were bitten by something ( probably because we stay in the middle of wilderness). The stuff works every evening to fight those creatures. 2. There is huge pile of garbage not too far from entrance to this resort. I am not sure if it’s belong to this resort or it’s located on neighboring property, but it does not give a good impression. Otherwise I had a good time

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
water in ocean dirty and dark.Pools small and water cold. There are no elements of luxury and comfort.
Everyone that worked there so nice and is so very helpful. The resort is beautiful and the area is also so very beautiful. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and speaks quite a few different languages. Johnathan taught me a lot about the Dominican Republic punta cana and Mitches. Thank you so much for making our trip so special. God bless
Overall great experience and I recommend going here. Here’s my thoughts:
Pros: Clean, friendly and super helpful staff, lots of stuff to do. They have so many workers trying to make you happy - crazy like 1 employee per 2 guests!
Cons:
1. Far from airport (1.5 hour) without any hotel shuttle so you have to either rent a car or get taxi or call hotel to get transportation ($180 each way). We rented car with full insurance ($600). It was a mistake! Driving in DR is a nightmare. Roads are mostly ok but lookout for crazy drivers, motor bikes meant for 1 person but packed with whole family! It is rare to have headlights or tail light working. Lookout for stray dogs everywhere! Also many locals just hang out by the road so be careful not to run them over. Don’t drive at night - you will likely get in a crash.
2. The resort food was about 1 out of 5 including all the restaurants. They have HUGE selection at their main buffet and almost everything LOOKS absolutely amazing. But it lacks taste and quality. The fruits, salads, coffee, ice cream, croissants, guacamole/chips and most cooked veggies were excellent. Everything else we tried were awful. They have 3 beautiful wood-fired pizza ovens onsite but NO WOOD! So we never saw them in action. The pizzas they had were worse than any frozen pizza I ever had. I think they were baked in microwave oven as they lacked any color. All meats I tried were awful. Best meal was scrambled eggs. Baked chicken was ok too.
