When iI called Expedia, I told my and I were with a chihuahua and needed a hotel that allowed pets. When we arrived at the hotel, I again told the woman not once, but twice, that I had my dog with me. She said not to worry about it, hence why I asked her twice about having a dog. They didn't care. When we got to our room, I thought I'd catch bed bugs just standing there, the walls and ceilings were covered in filth, the smell was awful... It was something out of a horror movie. The mirror had fallen and was leaned against the wall by the TV. The bathtub was orange and not on purpose, the shower rod was broken, the bed looked gross and dirty, like unwashed white bedding only does when not washed in weeks. I could go on...
My husband went to complain, thinking they gave us that room by mistake. The man who replaced the woman from when we checked in states that we lied to him, that we never told them we had a dog. He demands we pay the $10 pet fee (that i had already offered to pay twice and again with the booking agent over the phone with Expedia.) We pay the $10 fee. The man at the desk fussed that the room he was giving us was not authorized for pets but have us three key anyways.
Our new room was a tad bit better, not by much. It was at least clean and my husband was ill and wanted to sleep so we settled there, but agreed we would never come back. The bathrooms were still gross, we didn't bathe or shower in their facilities during the stay... So much more, gross.
