The room and bathroom were very good.The communal areas were very nice. the location was away from the tourist area but was walkable in 30 minutes and the bus stop located directly outside the hotel was convenient. Buses every 15 minutes and not expensive. The major disappointment was that the outdoor swimming pool was closed. If we were made aware of this during or after the booking process then we would have chosen a different hotel.

SUPERB QUALITY STAY
Forget anything negative you may have read about this hotel …. It’s absolutely fabulous. The room was very spacious with luxurious carpets opening onto our own private courtyard. The bed was superb and the quality of the bed linen was superb; as were the pillows. The en-suite bathroom was well appointed with separate shower and toilet cubicles. The bath towels were superb quality and a very generous size. I can’t comment on breakfast as I prefer to have only a coffee but, I did take a look and was impressed by the selection and quality. We did however take an evening meal in the restaurant and the service and food were superb. All the staff were helpful and polite and the free parking felt secure as we could park our motorcycles next to the main entrance. Would I stay here again? Most certainly YES.

Hotel Candido Pros * Fantastic shower * Comfortable chairs * Desk and chair * Helpful front of house staff * Comfortable bed * Large room * Bar fridge * Beautifully decorated throughout. * Fabulous common areas. Cons * No kettle, tea or coffee making facilities * No tissues * No hot towel rail * Rooms are definitely not soundproofed and if you are on a first floor room expect to be kept awake by the noisy babble from the communal area below. And the Spanish like to ear late, drink late and shout late. (12.30 - 1am is not uncommon) Additionally, the staff start pushing the chairs back in the morning - The scraping noise will ensure an early wake up call!! * No balcony as stated * No robes * Beautifully appointed restaurant: Pity about the food and service - and that’s an understatement. Xperience As we were staying in this beautifully appointed hotel with what purported to be a Michelin restaurant, we dressed up for what we thought was going to be a special meal. Shown to our table and left for15 minutes before asking us for our drinks. Another 15 minutes before they took our food order and shortly after that a plate of croquettes was literally dumped on the table. We shrugged and started on our shared entree, but with 4 croquettes still on the platter our plates were whisked away and our mains dumped before us. Mains were even worse. Cold food that should have been hot, waiters that couldn’t care less. Horrible experience!!

Quick overnight stop in historic town
Very pleasant one night stay . Hotel has a beautiful reception area and gardens. Our room was bright and sunny with views. We walked into Sergovia - about 25 mins though there are 2 buses which would take you there too.

Hotel is nice and very spacious, good value for money. Was disappointed that you have to pay extra for using gym/indoor pool/sauna… it was written under amenities so we assumed we had access to it. Free car park is great, there is nothing near the hotel so will need to drive or take taxi.

The standard room was a good size & clean but the bathroom could do with a deep clean to remive mould. The main lounge area didn't seem to get cleaned every day, didn't seem to be a sense of pride for this area. Wasn't impressed with the additional charge to use the indoor swimming pool & jacuzzi so didn't bother with it. Hotel's ok for a one night stay but not a lot to do in the area for any longer.
