El aire acondicionado en los cuartos no baja de 25 grados. No se puede dormir por el calor insoportable que hay. Hemos reclamado a recepción nos han cambiado de cuarto pero el aire es centralizado y los cuartos no enfrían. No se puede dormir. La chica de recepción muy amable pero no puede hacer nada al respecto.

An enjoyable stay
The "deluxe"room was large and well appointed but it lacked a comfortable sofa for relaxing in private. We would have preferred a full restaurant service at dinner and found the "buffet" adequate.

Pandemic hangover
I like this hotel and stayed there when the pandemic was still raging elsewhere. However, it's now four years since Covid and things which were effective during that time are still in place. The rooms are quite bare. I asked for an iron to sort out some travel wrinkles and that's what I got and was told to "use the desk" as an ironing board! I asked for a coffee and tea tray and I got.....a kettle. When I asked again - I was told I should have asked for a cup....in the end I borrowed a cup and spoon from the restaurant and bought tea from the local shop. Things that were there before the pandemic are no longer there. Shame - but I still like the place and the staff are friendly. PS Still no English language tv channels.

Best bd ever!
We checked in at the end of a long and beautiful day touring Mijas Pueblo. The staff greeted us with huge smiles and huge patience for my bumbling Spanish. I joked with my girlfriends that i immediately judge a hotel as classy and thoughtful when there’s a beautiful setting for fresh water or a treat there in the lobby: exceptional at Ilunion! The room was perfect for the three of us friends traveling together. Breakfast was affordable and worth it with a large variety of foods to choose from. Most important of all, attentive and friendly staff who seem to truly enjoy being there. Parking was free but a little difficult- i think there was a reception going on there.

One night in Mijas
Overall the hotel was lovely. Great staff. Buffet lunch started at 1:30, we arrived at 2:30 and a lot of the food looked old and dry. The room was spacious with lots of storage, but it was rather dark. The bed was reasonably comfortable and had extra pillows. We had two issues with the room. One was that the bed was on wheels that did not lock. So, if one tried to sit up in bed, for example to watch tv or read, and leaned against the headboard, the bed would roll away from the wall, causing pillows and person to get stuck in the gap. The other issue was an enormous amount of mosquitoes in the room at night. We had to sleep with the sheets over our heads because they were buzzing and biting incessantly. The staff acknowledged that there are lot of mosquitoes and said there was nothing they could do as we are in the countryside. Otherwise, the room, bathroom, shower were very nice. The grounds were lovely and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The public areas of the hotel were very clean and well maintained. Despite the minor issues, would certainly recommend this hotel for future stay, but would bring mosquito repellent.

You have to pay €12.50 to use the safe in your room....decor in room is bare and a bit dated. Lighting is terrible, just bedside table lights and one uplight in corner, no overhead lights. Could not figure out Aircon so we were freezing. Shower sprays everywhere as glass on side of shower was far too short and water temperature inconsistent. Staff were lovely and friendly. Food was good, not much variety and plates were not clean, had to keep hunting for ones without encrusted food on it. Pool looked beautiful but didn't try it as out of season. Scenery was stunning and short convenient drive to shopping centre and main motorway. Really friendly staff at the restaurant and bar

October mini break.
Spent 3 nights at Ilunion Hacienda de Mijas, the room was lovely, very spacious with a great bathroom and shower. Beautiful public rooms and the gardens and pool were really well kept. Very good value for money, would definitely stay there again.
