We recently stayed at the Sonder Missori in Milan, expecting a comfortable 4-star experience, but unfortunately, the reality fell short.
While the beds were comfortable, the overall condition of the room was disappointing. The noise from the street was quite bothersome, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Additionally, the bathroom was in poor condition. The bathtub had mold where it met the wall, and there were three different floor levels in the bathroom, which posed a safety hazard, as I nearly tripped against the vanity at night.
One major drawback is the lack of amenities expected from a 4-star hotel. There is no lobby or gym, which limits options for relaxation and fitness during the stay.
On a positive note, the hotel is very centrally located, within walking distance to the cathedral and other major attractions. This convenience was one of the few highlights of the stay.
Overall, while the Sonder Missori benefits from a great location, its aging facilities and lack of amenities significantly detract from what could have been a pleasant stay. Given the current state of the rooms and amenities, I would rate this hotel more in line with a 2-star or low 3-star establishment. For those prioritizing location over comfort and amenities, it might still be worth considering.
