The only thing we liked was that one of the desk clerks made our morning cappuccino well. Everything else was unacceptable to terrible.
First of all, I should have known something was up when I booked the hotel, confirmed there was air conditioning, and found in the fine print after our booking was confirmed that air conditioning costs 8 Euro a day extra. We traveled in July, so it is hot, and the hotel should have AC in working order in all its rooms. We paid more than 100 Euro a day-not including the city taxes and AC charge, for this hotel and this was the biggest mistake ever, as it is not even worth 50. The manager and clerk lied to us, telling us the AC was out and would be fixed the second day. They asked us to stay out of the hotel til after 6 so they could fix it. They did not fix it,but instead offered us one room for two with working AC and another room for two with a broken AC. We tried to find a different hotel but could not. The toilet leaked dirty toilet water all Over the floor upon flushing. The walls and coverlets were not clean looking. The shower was the smallest i’ve ever seen, even in Europe, barely bigger than the circumference of my body. One room they moved us to was a little more acceptable, but clearly they will rent you a crappy room here just to make a buck. Worst hotel stay of my life! Didn’t sleep in the heat even with a fan... and it took two requests and an hour for the guy to get the fan which took him 5 minutes. A noisy nightclub nearby.
