Overall, the hotel was well located and as described. My only issue was the poor record keeping. I paid for breakfast in cash and was embarrassingly accosted later in my stay with claims I hadn't paid for my breakfast. I can only put this down to the staff I'd paid not having logged my payment.

Spent two weeks in Italy, this is outright the worst. The room may seem fairly new, but the floor is dirty, with dirts lying around. The air-conditioning was also not working upon arrival, and we had to go to the reception to get it sorted. We arrived early at 8am, and since the room was no available, we came back after a day out only to be assigned a handicap access room that totally does not look like our booking. The receptionist lady was also not helpful with any directions and just said "you can check the internet". Absolutely the worse stay ever. The only saving grace was the close proximity to Milan Central station but there are plenty of hotels around. This is definitely not equivalent to 4 stars or even 3. Would not recommend to anyone unless it is really for a short night.

We really enjoyed our stay at Smart Hotel. Such a great location if you’re planning on arriving from the Train Station. At night, the area is not very safe. If you do want to go out, I recommend taking a Taxi that the hotel can call for you. Our room was very nice and clean. The hotel was a bit stingy when it came to the toilet paper, but overall we enjoyed our stay.

This property was very close to the train station, which was convenient since we basically just passing through. It is close to cafes and dining options. However, I felt that the staff wasn’t very friendly during check in, perhaps because we were Americans or maybe because we had backpacks. All in all, this was a comfortable and convenient hotel.
