A very warm welcome at check in but sadly downhill from there. Very run down motel, but, clean and comfortable beds. Bathroom leaked, don’t know wear from, water all over the floor and so slippery. Sadly not much choice on our route and the only thing that saved it was the lad at reception

The meals were very generous and good pub fare. The room was not heated at all, so be aware in winter it's cold!! An electric blanket would have been helpful. That said, the blankets were warm. Wifi didn't work in the rooms, so we weren't able to watch anything or plan the next day (no tv). Wifi worked in the shared lounge and in the bar. It was clearly a grand hotel in its day, nice that not too much has been modernised.
