Quiet oasis

The food an amenities were wonderful. The atmosphere of the hotel is quite nice, and they have very uniqhe sourvebirs you can purchase. It would be perfect for a quite retreat.

Very nice for a short quiet stay

A little remote, but we knew that in advance. The hotel provides a shuttle to/from the train station twice a day. Otherwise it is a quite steep climb up a hill. Would definitely recommend it for a night or two to relax and take baths. There is not much to do in the local area. Staff is very friendly and the food was amazing.

Waste of money

This Ryokan was a true disappointment. Firstly, it is very difficult to get to from the train station and the hostel only provides a shuttle after 4. The staff was not very helpful, even giving us the wrong directions to the closest convenience store. The room w as dusty and the futons were old. The onsen was ok, nothing special. This room was definitely not worth the high price we paid. I would not recommend this place to anyone and wiah we stayed elsewhere.

Beautiful Hotel and nice services

The Hotel is value for $, the staffs all are nice and helpful. The foods was delicious with reasonable price. The onsen is nice and comfortable. The room is beautiful is just the futon on floor is abit hard. The location of the hotel is not easy to reach and very far from the subway and the convenient shop. But if for only stay and relax is just nice to stay without any activities.

Fantastic ryokan, very remote location

This ryokan was amazing (clean and relaxing space, friendly staff, great amenities, spacious dormitory). However, I was searching for an accommodation in Hakone, and didn't expect to travel an additional 1.5+ hours to get from Hakone to Yugawara. If you have the time, I fully recommend this ryokan (the onsen was just what I needed). If you're allocation 1 to 2 days in Hakone, then I would suggest looking at accommodations closer to Lake Ashi.

Nice hotel, terrible location

I had arrived at Narita at about 5pm on the evening of my stay, and struggled to make it to the hotel in reasonable time. The staff were very nice and accommodating but was incredibly difficult to get anywhere. Admittedly I should have had a closer look when I booked but there were hardly any buses to Hakone and it was a good 40 minute walk to the station. Would be fine if you had a car.

Awesome

I stayed here for two nights and it was by far my favorite accommodation in Japan. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the entire establishment was very welcoming. This is definitely a great break from all of the business that I found in the rest of Japan. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

Nice place to relax

Wasn't sure what to expect when arrived, but it was a nice place to relax for a few days after being in Tokyo for a week. Everyone wears traditional clothes while you stay at the hotel which was fun. The onset at hotel was nice and the foot onsen was nice. Great area for a picnic. Staff were helpful and pleasant and had plenty of activities to do at the hotel. Room were really nice and the whole family enjoyed our stay.
