Our reason to stay at the hotel was it’s near location for us to visit friends. Contrary to some other reviews the owners were as helpful as they could Beas we speak very little French and them very little English. It looks like money has been spent on the pool and surrounding area and is very pleasant indeed, but the rooms are very dated, small, and in need of attention. The sliding bathroom door did not close, there was very limited space for clothes and luggage ,just a small wardrobe but no drawer space. There was on electric socket which would not take our adaptors(they have worked all over Europe) which created a few difficulties. Our first room had the most dreadful smell which was totally unacceptable ,they were more than happy to change it on the second night to the room next door which was ok. Breakfast. what was offered we thought was a bit overpriced. There were very few residents during the week but a few more at weekends because it is ideally situated to walkers, ramblers parascenders or just as an overnight stop passing through. The hotel needs refurbishing throughout. One nights stay with breakfast. doesn’t really offer value for money. We love Provence and in particular that area but during our visit we looked at hotels a little further away from our friends and offered far better accommodation the The Bastide. The main doors are locked and reception closed from 1.00pm until 4.00 pm and a key is given to a back fire exit. This made it a long walk.
