After weeks of deciding on a hotel, we settled on Le Nouvata as it seemed good value and close to the beach. Upon arriving in Noumea there was a shuttle bus direct to the hotel which is a big bonus when arriving in a country you don't know and where the language isn't your first language! We were seen to straight away by a kind man at reception (I'm sad we didn't get his name as his service was exceptional!) who spoke very good English. We were told that we were getting a free room upgrade as the other part of the hotel was full, which is always a bonus! The room was absolutely lovely, very clean and spacious, with a fridge, tv, tea and coffee making facilities, a huge shower/bath, his and hers sinks and a balcony overlooking the pool. The bed was comfy and the air con made sleeping at night a lot easier as it was hot and humid when we were there. The rooms have the option to be cleaned daily and the women who tended to ours did an excellent job. The hotel is on the beach front and close to the restaurants and a water taxi that can take you to the island of ducks to do some snorkelling for 1500 f. Highly recommend this hotel, only wish we could have stayed longer!
